you said "year, make, model and color"...not engine. anyway...SR20DET?? no way it's a VH45DE? Can you tell me what motors you have had?
RB25 97 black 240sx with bigass greddy or garrett turbo, jdm kouki silvia k's bodywork, jic flta2 coilovers, 17x8 17x9 bronze fn01rc's, 300zxtt front brakes?
Personally I like the ka24de engine, lots of torque, lots of displacement, iron block, can hold a ton of boost stock.
actually stock internal ka24's are only good for about 7 psi before they pop. But properly built they have the potential to shit all over the sr20's
87' Shelby GLHS? 88' 2 Dr GL turbo? smart car with a RB26 in it? 87' Shelby Lancer? SVO mustang? Justy turbo?
Just want to clear a couple things up in this thread...We never got the s15 here in the states. Few people have imported them yes, but they didn't sell new here. The last year 240sx's were sold in the states new was 98. The ka can also hold more than 7psi stock, because 7psi is different turbo to turbo. They usually pop around 300-350 whp. I wouldn't guess a ka is in this car, because they come stock and he said never driven this motor in the 240sx. So...black 97 2jzgte 240sx. Did I get the rest right?
the s15's didnt come out until at least 99 and never stateside. Plus if he had one, I doubt he would Daily Drive that bitch.
still going with the 97 black 240sx with an RB26. put a bigger turbo on that bitch and you will be near 600hp no prob. i know someone who just sold a 97 black 240sx with a RB26 it had around 400 or so whp and was capable of waaayyy more
So I guess that's a no on the rb25. Then I'll guess s15 sr with the 6spd. I highly doubt it's a ca, very few people have done it. If it's a v8, lame. Sorry I just don't like to think of the 240sx as a v8 car, even if it is fast as hell.
s15's have blacktops and I think the ls1 swapped 240's and fc's are sick. I'm not much of a V8 guy but dayum
Ok I'm back, Ill post some pictures tommrow Its a Black 97 S14 with a KA24DE-T in it. Built motor soon to have a bigger turbo and wheels etc... Oh and the Good folks at 10thSt\JPM Coachworks will be working their magic on the interior. Matt
Congrats! Did you drive it home? It looks like calmnothing guessed the engine and I guessed the year, color and model...does anyone win?
Is it up at 10thst/JPM yet? I have been thinking about dropping by and making fun of Alex and Joe again lately...
