I just got back from my first skydive ever. Talk about an adrenaline rush and a blast! We tandem jumped from 11,000 ft. That inital drop from out the plane was the most exhilarating experience ever. Then we pulled the chute and it was like I was floating on water. I'll have pics soon and a vid.
I ought to put up the pictures and video from mine. 11k you say? pfft. I jumped from 14k going to get certified? I haven't made up my mind yet
i don't know if i can do that...seriously. I used to cliff jump in high school, the highest I ever did was 70' and that felt like eternity and took me like 10mins to just run and jump. I can do 40' and under just fine.
That's what we were gonna do but couldn't go that high due to winds. I want to get certified but that's a lot of money and time getting there. I'm thinking hard about it though...maybe after I get more settled financially (we are house hunting right now ).
This is definitely one of those things on my to do list before I die. I have wanted to jump out of a perfectly good airplane for many years, just never followed through with it yet. Someday it will happen. Glad you enjoyed it, and made it back safely CoolRex.
If that's all you think about when someone has the balls to jump out of a plane and plummet towards earth.....you've got issues.... Will I do it again? HECK YEAH!
Here is a pic my wife took. I'll have the video in a few days. And here is what I do on a regular basis on the weekends. We own 3 balloons.
Awesome shot there man. I had the opportunity to buy pics too but I got the video instead. I figured I could just get the pics from the video.
Yeah...you people are crazy. Paratroopers, I understand that. However, if I am ever to 'escape' from an aircraft, I'll be riding one of these after pulling the yellow/black stripped handle:
