I guessing it will be just over what stage 2 Sti's put down... Nice, i almost went with that turbo....but $$
teaser..... y'all know i had to make it go black.....:naughty: couple coats of radiator paint....:wiggle:
Well, Friday i got cut loose early from work to avoid the events going on in atlanta, so just was just driving home as i normally do every day...Riding in the "fast lane" on 85N just south of Jimmy Carter and was riding behind a C300 benz and came up on taffic a little too fast.....lady in the benz slams on her brakes and in return i slam on my brakes.....we both come to a complete stop....just as i was shifting in to neutral i look up in the rear view mirror to see and red nissan frontier pickup NOT slowing down....1 sec later i see him straight nose dive and see the smoke from locking up his tires... 1sec later BAM....slamed right in to the back of me and pushed me into the benz...."I'm like.....SHIT" immediately wanted to get out and beat the living shit out of the guy who hit me that in return made me hit a 45,000 dollar Mercedes....instead i called the police.... All in all the damage doesn't look that bad, but the Nissan was totally folded up and is probably totaled, the benz just needs a new rear bumper...and from what i can tell looks like I'll need new rear bumper, new hatch, new exhaust, new right rear tail light, new front bumper and grilles... I would like to say that I'm sure am glad i drive a Subaru, she took the impact like a champ!! here are some pics from when i got home.... OH and i did not get a ticket, the driver of the nissan truck did....i thought i might would have gotten a ticket for following to close....guess not... took the tail light out since the bracket that holds it in was broken yeah that he's coolant all over that back of my car....
That's a horrible thing to happen to such a beautiful wagon. Glad you're okay and damage was mostly minor.
Sorry to see such a beautiful wagon get all crunched up but glad you came out with no damage. She will be back to normal soon
oh noes! glad to hear you're ok. hmm, id try to get all new exhaust. say that it bent the mounts all the way up or something, lol.
glad it wasn't worse man and glad your not hurt! I would be concerned about the exhaust being pushed forward that much. not damage at the turbo?
Good thing they didnt try and cause any bs about having tinted tails. I would have been worried that the cops or the driver would have tried to blame him not stopping on not being able to see the brake lights or something. Looks like an easy fix though luckily, and you're not hurt so thats whats important, I hate when people dont pay attention while driving.
This. Make sure you check around the turbo area and search for any damage there. Sorry to hear about this Mike. :wtc:
As for tails being tinted... As long as you can read the dot stamp on the lights you are in the clear.... My check engine light is on so not sure what code it is, we will just have to wait and see.. I do have a flew joint in my cbe so Im not sure if anything else is damaged... It def doesn't sound right though...
Glad you're okay. If you're ever in a multi car pile up, either everyone gets a ticket or just the person at the rear does...assuming nothing's damaged with the car, you should make out pretty well on this. Do the work yourself and you can save a little extra money. Also be sure to ask for your dimished value check. In GA, if you're in an accident, your insurance company is required to give you the amount of money you've lost on resale due to the accident
Don't hope for the world from that diminished value check… My Integra, which should've been totaled, had over $5k in damage and I got a whopping $40 back. Stupid effing Liberty Mutual…
boned...you should've argued it. I got hit in a parking deck by some lady about three months after I got my car and they (SF) were only going to give me ~$250. I argued it, paid the $80 or whatever and had an independent appraiser come out and ended up getting almost $1500 back. Granted, mine was a 2007 and this was still in 2007...I'm not sure how it works out with older year model cars
Actually, they dont have to give you squat back. My friend got into an accident that should of totaled his G35, they offered him like $1500 in diminished value, he argued it and got his own independent appraiser, argued with them about it some more after the report, then Geico basically told him to go hug a root and gave me nothing. Told him if he wanted money for diminished value, he would have to sue the person that hit him...(Which Geico had dropped during all of this). So now my friend has a G35 that doesnt drive straight and no extra money
