can you swap front ends?

    My friend has an 02 wrx sedan.
    His friend has an 04 rs sedan.

    04 wrx sedan wants to swap front ends with the 02. Is it just direct bolt on or do there have to be custom fabrications?

    Its a direct bolt up...a LOT of parts to swap, but direct non the less. You have to swap out the radiator core for the front bumper and grill and headlights to swap over.

    Then get everything painted... :D

    If this is true I am willing to trade my bug eye front end to anyone who has an 04-05 they don't like. Come on you know you want to. come on. come on. come on. not holding my breath.

    Wrong. The radiator support isn't bolt on. It's tack welded on. Cutting and welding is required from my past research.

    No problem.....I was tempted when a local Aspen White bugeye with JDM headlights wanted to trade me. Then I found out you had to cut the radiator support which equals NO NO for me!

    It's easier for the bugeye to go blob eye than it is for the blob eye to go bugeye.

    I love my bugeye but the blobeye is my favorite. I already have black painted stock style headlights and that was a huge improvement but i would trade if someone would.

    I still love the Bugeyes the most. That's the only thing I'd ever consider trading my car for.
