That is the motor I tried to blow. For the record, this morning we drained the oil and coolant and placed bets again. I thought 7 minutes. It last 16 seconds then just spun down, chirped and stopped. WAY less exciting than watching that thing bounce off the limiter for 25 minutes The easiest way to pull it off the L and put it under the STi shell was to drop the entire sub-frame assemblies out. They were rolled near each other behind the L and there was no way we could avoid posing it for those pics There is about to be an '06 STi shell rolling on that L's sub-frames Siegel
There's someone in Black Mountian NC that tried to blow up a 98 RS engine that way...several hours later they finally gave up on that and took the brick off the gas pedal. *shrug* The car is still driving around western NC to this day with that engine.
For fun....and I dont agree with it. Coolrex: that engine was worth something...WAS. Now its worth about $100 in scrap metals.
