So Blink just IMed me a pic of my own car parked in front of my house on google streetview, the newest addition to the Google Maps repertoir. Alex, your STI looks nice parked in front of your house too. I'm just surprised, because any other day the pic of our front yard would come with 8 dudes chilling on the porch smoking cigarettes.
I take it you didnt see this thread yet http://www.wrxatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20289 at least yours doesnt have you sitting on the couch like alex is
This takes stalking my internet privacy professor to a whole new level. He flipped his shit when we used US military satellites to find a pic of him swimming in his pool, now we can find a much closer pic of his front yard . . . Sorry for the duplicate post, I didnt see this one earlier.
ya that google street view is crazy...i wana see the car that's just driving around snapping photos!....its nuts!
It's a crappy cell phone pic (not mine, found it online) of one of the microsoft trucks. they are Tahoes with 19 or so cameras on them.
That's true. I guess I need to stop sitting at the window completely naked while posting on the internet.
Yeah, last I checked, google is on hold with the street view due to a law suit in play. They only view from public roads, but there is apparently a city that is fully private. Check it out. http://www.wibw.com/nationalnews/headlines/17352199.html
See, the thing is...in NC they dont drive thru and take pics like that...they'd get shot at. Where I live now you cant see anything past the trees...so I'm safe. *whew*
I didn't find anywhere in that article that the city is private, rather Google allegedly drove onto a road that had a "private property" sign and took pictures of a house located on this supposedly private road.
The private city thing was something I heard or read. I just copied a link of the first search I found on it. I might have miss interpreted it, Ill see if I can find that article.
No such thing as a private city.....if you can drive through it and view things freely then it's 'public'.
I probably read it all wrong, but I swore I thought I read something about that. Ohh well, my bad yall.
Franklin Park is NOT a private city....I'm from that area. Those people are MORONS! OMFG....this house is 5 minutes from where I grew up...
here's more to the article. http://valleywag.com/376276/couple-sues-google-over-street-view-pics-of-their-house
"You mean you don't actually have to hang out in the bushes outside people's homes anymore? Cool."
