Google Streetview, where is our Privacy?

So Blink just IMed me a pic of my own car parked in front of my house on google streetview, the newest addition to the Google Maps repertoir. Alex, your STI looks nice parked in front of your house too.

I'm just surprised, because any other day the pic of our front yard would come with 8 dudes chilling on the porch smoking cigarettes.

 

Privacy? LOL... just wait it's about to get a lot more interesting in the next 10yrs

 

Did you notice the person sitting on Alex's porch working on a laptop?

 

This takes stalking my internet privacy professor to a whole new level. He flipped his shit when we used US military satellites to find a pic of him swimming in his pool, now we can find a much closer pic of his front yard . . .

if you're in public or can be photographed from a public place you have no privacy

 

ya that google street view is crazy...i wana see the car that's just driving around snapping photos!....its nuts!

Yeah, last I checked, google is on hold with the street view due to a law suit in play. They only view from public roads, but there is apparently a city that is fully private. Check it out.

I didn't find anywhere in that article that the city is private, rather Google allegedly drove onto a road that had a "private property" sign and took pictures of a house located on this supposedly private road.

 

The private city thing was something I heard or read. I just copied a link of the first search I found on it. I might have miss interpreted it, Ill see if I can find that article.

No such thing as a private city.....if you can drive through it and view things freely then it's 'public'.
