So I am going to install ceramic coated Stromung dp w/ catted stromung mid pipe as well as an STI up pipe into my '02 wrx with 77K and flash to Cobb Stage 2 (SS tune when I have the $). I have a question on if I need to have replacement nuts / bolts for the 1. DP-turbo, the 2. up - turbo, and the manifold to up? I plan to soak the old ones with PB before removing them. In your experience will they be OK to reuse. The studs on the new used STI up pipe (5 of them) look to be in good shape. Also, will my donut gasket between the midpipe and cat back be OK to reuse? I have a STI cat back. When I installed it it seemed to be OK, but it was stuck on the mid pipe.
I have all of the gaskets but the donut gasket. Does it need to be replaced. Can it get at general parts store or is it something that I need to get at the dealer?
you can reuse that one.. the most important ones to replace are the dp to turbo - turbo to up - up to header.
You can reuse the donut and the nuts and bolts. Just be ready to go to napa and replace some that might break when taking them off. I played it safe and just got new nuts/bolts from Napa for the up pipe when I did the install.
