Technically, no it isn't. Blu ray is only now able to connect to the web via Profile 2.0 players and also just got interactive features, all things HD DVD had from the beginning three years ago. Both can do 1080p24 and True-HD/ DTS-MA. Blu won because Sony had deep pockets, too bad it will never beat out regular DVDs in media sales and lets not forget that Download Movies will kill it before it gets mainstream anyways.
