I will be getting my STi TMIC next week and will also be installing some form of automatic I/C water spayer.

My question is really to get everyones opion on the subject. Right now it is scheduled to be installed at WOT from the OEM Wagon WW tank. So...I question the forums; run the spray at boost, WOT, temp, just wire up the OEM spray button, or a combination?

    Thanks,

    Matt

I posted up something similar not 2 weeks ago. I think I'm just going to have it set to a pressure switch and have it spray at anything over 12-15psi. I hardly ever get above 10psi during daily driving so that should give me enough margin to where I dont have to check the tank every time I hop in the car.

I'm also going to wire up a switch to manually turn it on so I can have it spraying during cool-down periods

Here's a link to install a pressure switch to control your IC sprayer: http://www.iwsti.com/forums/how-ins...tic-intercooler-sprayer-boost-referenced.html

I would be curious to see the delay needed before you actually see any cooling of the intercooler. I mean it can't be instantaneous as it relies on evaporation. Seems like a WOT switch might work? Something that just senses when you go WOT. That way as soon as your foot goes to the floor it starts spraying. You could even wire in a jumper for hitting it manually. Would be pretty easy to do right?

Well almost, all of the wiring is for an STi...but the reasons are there.
