anyone know how to calculate how much power at sea level compaired to high altitude... I think it's something like hp loss= elevation x 0.03 x hp @sea level I had my bike on the dyno the other day and want to know what she will gain when I move to Ga. but that's if I keep her stock that much longer:keke:
yeah seriously considering it. There is so much to do here and I do love it, but there is just something about friends and family...
Check out the forums at www.wera.com and pm a member named "venom51"...tell him that "wonderbread" sent you. It will go right to his phone... :naughty: If he can't answer your question, it will only take him one phone call. Wera is a great group if you plan on putting your bike on the track!
 sounds like a secret mission of some sort. I don't know about this bike going on the track but maybe. either way I want to play around with her and see what's up. thanks for the link
probably not a huge difference in power...couple hp maybe. If it is custom tuned, might want a retune though.
I know it probably isn't going to be a noticable difference right off the bat. but I hope to get some work done in the near future that will wake her up a bit. now that the motor is broken in I can do a bit more :naughty:
I am not that familiar with the GSXR's but from what I have heard, if you shave the heads a bit, bore them out a little, clean up the castings on the heads and retune, it wakes up the midrange some. Or just change the sprockets, lol. I need to change here soon...stock 600rr is 16, 43. Mine is 15, 45 and I think I am going to go to 15, 54. Top speed will be way down, but low end for stunting should be GREAT!!
15, 54! that's a jump. your going to rack up some miles quick if you don't trick your computer. You must do a hell of lot of stunt riding your top speed will be gone.
I mainly tow it to the lot and stunt...street rides are pretty limited. The occasional bike night. Sometimes in the mountains. I figure with that combo I should still be able to do 80 in 6th at around 8200 rpm, so not too bad.
I forget how bad traffic is in Ga but there are still plenty of places to ride I'm sure. I guess it's all about where and how ya ride. sounds like you need two bikes, one for stunts and one for streets.
I have often considered it, but end result is it is still quite streetable, just not for prolonged 80 mph highway trips. But in the mountains or around town it is fine. I don't stunt in the streets, so keep the miles down by towing it.
Got cha. mountains are the place to be. that's what I will miss most here in utah when I move back. So many canyons so little time. :naughty:
yeah I have been on a few. way fun. just isn't the same as here though. you can't compare the two. I sure miss trees
 Not a secret mission; Kenny is one of the top amateur riders on the Wera circuit and is full of info(oh, I work with him). He also invests/works in his off time at one of the better bike tuners in the area...they use a mustang dyno, which lives up to the "heartbreaker" reputation. The community is very similar to ours...track days, dyno days, races all over the country, classes and meets. Plus, they have some serious kick ass women riders!!! Either way, it's safer on the track, especially in this city. :hs:
tracks are always safer. I thought the south had the worse drivers in the country till I moved to utah. you would think people could drive down flat straight roads...... :squint: anways. I would love to pick his brain a bit and get some work done. I am going to start with the suspension
thy this calculator...http://www.webcalc.net/calc/0757.php and you are correct...hp loss = elevation x 0.03 x hp @ sea level 1000
