    Title says it all.....:grr:

Well on my R32 the previous owner must have torqued the damn lugs to elevendy billion foot pounds. I tired to remove my wheels about a week ago and had to use my breaker bar and the 4 foot long jack handle to even get the lugs to budge. With all my weight and the 5 foot bar I was able to get one wheel off. I rounded one lug on the back driverside wheel, and then got pissed off and quit out of fustration...

Fast forward to today... I buy the bolt extractors for rounded bolts, put it on the wheel and it starts to work (i think) then the damn ratchet breaks... so I try the impact and a it breaks the impact socket... This is outrageous...

So now i think i am just going to take it to Kauffman or some place and buy a tire rotation and let them deal with it. Does anyone have any other recommendations? I should i just call it quits...

    rant over.

    I'm having the same problem.
I just need to take a wheel off to close up a hole in my fender liner, and my fucking lug wrench is bent.

Let me know if you find a fix.

What kind of removal tool did you use.

Buy a good one, I suggest the Snap-On Set. If you do break them they replace them no hassle.

What happens if they break the studs while they're rotating your tires?

I had this happen on my wife's Pathfinder.

I have an impact rated for 650 ftlbs in reverse and it wouldn't budge this one lug nut. While I was jumping on a breaker bar with a 4' piece of pipe, the socket broke and rounded the lug nut. I fought with the thing for hours trying a bunch of different things. I finally drilled the middle out of the stud until the lug nut was essentially gone. Just start with a small quality metal bit and slowly work your way up. Some cutting oil or some other light weight oil is also a very good thing to have.

I'm always wrenching on somebody's car and I have experienced so many stripped, rounded and seized bolts that I started keeping the remains of the super bitch ass ones to remove as little trophies in my tool box. That lugnut has a special place all to itself.

    Good luck.

its an '04 with the only option, leather. I really like the car alot, but it is slow as balls when compared to my old WRX... They have some of the best leather seats that I have ever sat in, and the exhaust note is awesome. As of right now the only mod is a three way switch that can control the stock exhaust flapper, so the exhaust can be quiet, loud or stock... its great.

But, still have the rounded lug. I took it to Kauffman, and they said to take it to Butler tire... but i havent had the time to deal with it.

I guess i need to make a picture thread to show off the R32 and the 914...:ddirty:
