Okay so on the 95 coupe I replaced both front axles, wheel bearings, and the drivers front ball joint...All appeared to be toasted anyways but this did not solve the noise. Any Ideas of what I should look at, missed, or should replace? the problem is a grinding noise that ALWAYS happens on a sweeping left turn, even if I am going straight and yank the wheel left you can hear it. It also does it when taking off in a straight line just for a sec. NEVER does it turning right. ideas?
i had the same thing happen on my bugeye and it turned out to be my rotor grinding on my caliper when turning cause of bad wheel bearing. i see you already replaced those so im at a loss.
You should sell the car before it becomes a money pit. I'll even be so kind as to take it off your hands for you. Seriously though , swing by my house this evening and take me for a ride.
I've got the same thing on the driver side when turning right....I always associated it with a braking issue. I'm working on swapping brake parts out to hopefully fix the noise. my wheel bearing is fine, too
Fender liner maybe? If you take the wheel off you will see where the wheel rubs it. It does it to mine thanks to Will dumping it.
Found it!!! Additional Hints: noise on throttle only. makes the noise very briefly on a missed start. Taking off, especially uphill or any load in a straight line. I fixed it in 20 min and had a spare lying around from previous endeavors. Any guesses? drained and refilled the tranny (Xtra S) and the grind in 2nd is gone. bonus here.
^^ thats not spelled right? I know there's a ready made chicken/vegetable in a bag meal I used to call Chicken VO-ILL-A... anyways, back on topic..
