So my side by side refrigerator is broken..well freezer still freezes..but the refrigerator side does whatever whenever..and now just recently my "hotpoint" dish washer decided to spill soap suds and water onto the floor...I'm not even going to attempt to use my "hotpoint" oven/stove.... Anyone recently purchase any appliances or have had any good/bad luck w/ certain brands... Thanks, Justin
Stay away from Samsung fridge's. According to all the repair people that tried to fix ours. They are back asswards. Oh it lasted only 2 years.
Sears Scratch and Dent Store on Mnt. Ind. When no one's looking, you can add shelves to the doors and inside. ours is going strong for 7+ years now. with extra shelves
haha awesome...thanks for everyones input...once i get this debt paid off soon ill get some kitchen appliances...or go to top speed..damn priorities!
always been a big fan of frigidaire stuff. they are the same company as kitchenaid so can't go wrong there either
Wait until sears has another 20% off all appliances, find a model they sell and home depot sells, go to home depot and they will match the price plus take an additional 10% off. I have done it a few times already. 30% off sure does beat paying retail.
never had a problem with my hotpoint frig. other than it was delievered to my house at midnight but two guys that I wouldn't want in my home.
If you have a membership to Costco, look at their selection. It might not be high end, but they have the best return policy on the planet. My parents bought a fridge from them 3 1/2 years ago. They did not buy any extended warranty or anything like it. A few weeks ago, the ice maker broke. My dad loaded the fridge onto a truck and went to Costco. They replaced the fridge, on the spot with a newer model, no questions asked.
Except I don't think it's an additional 10% off. I think they match, and refund 10% of the difference. They could have changed though, but that is what it was when I got my drill...
I sell appliances. I got whatever you need. everything from sub-zero and thermador to kitchen-aid and whirlpool. if i can help you out in anyway just let me know. work number is 706 745-9808 ext 2505
I just bought my washer, dryer at Brandsmart. And fridge at Sears. If i didn't have a sears card I would have bought everything from Brandsmart. I would stick with like Whirlpool, Kenmore, Electrolux. Frigditare. Instead of like LG which if it breaks more then likely its going to be a lot longer wait to get replacement parts. Sales guy said on of their factories burned to the ground in Korea. So parts may be an issue.
agreed. the only one that i deal with out of your list is whirlpool. they are a very good product. whirlpool is actually made by kitchenaid. but you still cant go wrong with a SUB-ZERO with a 20" flat screen built into it either.:wiggle:
haha right. I got a Kenmore Elite Stainless. I like it a lot. Said it was made by whirlpool is that true?
not saying your a liar or anything, but when i worked at lowes AND home depot we matched prices and took an additional 10% off, HOWEVER we wouldn't take it off a sale price. had to be a competitor's everyday price. also, had to be the EXACT same model, etc. this is the reason why you see Home Depot may have a refrigerator that looks exactly the same as one at Lowe's but Lowe's had the manufacturer add one extra shelf or something stupid like that so they can change the model number and you can't price match. getting rid of the competition by avoiding that price match guaruntee is how lowe's and home depot do business. bottom line, do your research. cuz i have seen VERY MANY customers turned away. that's not to say you won't get the occasional manager who says "what the hell?" and gives you the discount anyways. but more than likely the most they will do is match that price and not take the addition al 10% off
yes, whirlpool now manufactures kenmore products(which are sold exclusively at sears) in addition to being owned by kitchenaid. whirlpool also owns hotpoint, from which the OP's products are made
I have done it on more than one appliance from Home Depot. I just make sure the model numbers are exact and bring in a print of the sale price from the internet. They call or look it up online and give it to me for that price plus take 10% off. Don't know if they have changed their policy but I followed everything by what their rules were for the price match. I took a Home Depot coupon into lowe's and they let me use it exactly as it read and then took and additional 10% off of the coupon. So I saved 30% on a Grill at Lowes that home depot didnt even carry. I have receipts if you dont believe me.
watch out for soap suds and check your food in the fridge! lol..i'd honestly never heard of hotpoint till i looked at my appliances (they came w/ the house i bought back in feb 06)....
I had a rental property that needed the appliances upgraded before I sold it. I went on Craigslist and found a Whirlpool set that was a few years old for $500.00. It included a side by side fridge, stove, dishwasher and above the range microwave.
great my freezer just started crapping out too...guess I need to go ahead and do this ASAP!!! Thanks for everyones help...ill post up what I get hopefully in the next day or two!
