Most of you know me, or have met me. If not, my name is Tereance. In the past few months I have received emails and phone calls from friends in regards to resume help. Actually, help on resumes, cover letters, thank you letters, resignation letters, etc.

Well, WRXAtlanta, I am here to serve you with resume and career help. What I can offer you are dynamic abstracts that lay out your skills, qualifications, education, and work history in a format the human resource individuals will enjoy to read.

I am doing this on top of my full-time job for a few reasons:
    1) Help people obtain employment in the "bad" economy
    2) I want to see everyone happy
    3) EVERYONE NEEDS A GOOD RESUME (resumes help paper applications also!)

So, if you or anyone you know needs any of the above services, please feel free to contact me via PM, or email me at resumesbypuryear@hotmail.com

This is a project for myself, but I am testing it with this community. All feedback and suggestions are more than welcome. I will update this post periodically.

    Thanks in advance,

    ~Tereance

Q: What is a resume anyway?

A: A Resume is a self-promotional document that presents you in the best possible light, for the purpose of getting invited to a job interview. It's not an official personnel document. It's not a job application.

I encourage people to have their resume done by a professional like this if they have never taken a class or gotten instruction on how to prepare a resume or cover letter. I can't believe the crap I get turned in by people that want to get hired.
Its pretty hard to convince me you are worth $XX,XXX if you can't compose a simple letter.

This is very important if you can not turn in your resume in person to the person doing the hiring. If you are simply sending in a CL+resume, that document is all a person has to judge you on. Even if you are completely qualified for the job, if you can't express that in a clear, catchy manner, you will never even get a call from most companies.

Disclaimer: I am not endorsing the OP, just offering some friendly advice from someone who gets 100's of resumes a year.

Great points! I have conducted interviews, screened applicants, and had to read resumes and cover letters. People, let me tell you, they are rough. A bad resume/cover letter will get you tossed out of the interview pool.

Human Resource people go through literally hundreds before they call for interviews. Do not let your education and experience go to waste on a job you don't deserve. Make yours stand out!

Also, if you are submitting a paper application, including a professional resume will increase your chances of landing the job!

I'm thinking about it...I've wrote a resume before but having one done professionally sounds like it might just be worth it. Got any reviews of your clients? Just curious, what are your qualifications?

I will have some reviews soon. The work that I have done in the past were mainly for friends and family. I never thought that I would turn it into a service, lol. A website is in the works:naughty:!

There is one member here who is inquiring about the service. Once I complete his requests, I will have him post here, if he likes.

I currently do not possess a formal certification. I can say is that I have written them since my sophomore year in college. I am working on obtaining the Certified Professional Resume Writer designation in the near future, when time permits. The delay is due to me enrolling in Georgia State for a Masters of Science in Information Systems, my current job as a Logistics Analyst for Airgas, Inc., and other personal matters.

With that said, I have BBA's in Marketing and Logistics from Georgia Southern University. I am very meticulous and detail oriented. Every interviewer that I have encountered praised my resume format, word choice, and attention to detail.

The finished product is a view into the applicant, and what he/she can bring to the employer!

All PM's have been returned! I apologize for the delay! I finally have my internet connection at home since Bellsouth was booted out of my complex the same month I moved in, lol.

    Carry on!
