Don't know why but the parking lights are on and won't turn off. The key is out of the ignition and the light switch is in the off position.

    Any suggestions?

Same thing happened to me in my Forester. The fail level I felt was difficult to grasp at the time.

It had happened before like five years ago but for whatever reason I thought it was the factory alarm or something. Old age I guess.

I'm glad everyone had a laugh at my expense.

The weird thing is I don't remember my hand in that area to bump it. I did have the car washed earlier in the day so they may have bumped it when cleaning the interior but that means the lights had been on since lunch. I'm surprised my tiny lil battery held a charge.

    Go Odyssey! :p

I did it on mine when I was installing my boost gauge. Took me awhile, but I figured it out. There are plenty of posts on Nasioc about this!

I'm hooking my switch up to my radar jammer, which will also be installed in place of the parking lamps.

What can I say, the switch doesn't exist to me. I never use it nor see it from my seating position. It had to be the car wash people that bumped it earlier in the day. :D

Same thing happened to me a while back. Parked the car and walked past it and lights were on. I freak out and ended up disconnecting the battery. Then the next morning I figured it out....lol

I had A similar problem with my first impreza but it wasnt the button on top of the column it was a crossed wire behind the radio cause someone dumb hacked up the radio wires (it wasn't me) the previous owner did it it took me for ever to find the wires that caused the problem, and find the correct wires for the radio.
