I would suggest pop rivets as opposed to screws.

I can help this weekend if you haven't found anyone by then.

Pop Rivets would make removing it a pain....Requiring him to find someone with a drill again. I would just use some self taping screws. That way all you need is a screw driver to remove it.

If pop rivets are out, what about just drilling holes and using those plastic clips they use stock to hold like the plastic drip tray, or that hold the fender liner to the front lip. You can probably get a bunch of them from the Suby dealership for under $5. It would still require drilling, but then you just put that anchor clip in, push the center in and it is locked. To remove, you would just need a flathead screwdriver to pop that center button and the clip would just pop out then. It would even have that factory look from the underside, not that anybody will ever really see it.

home depot and lowes have TONS of self tapping screws. obviously didnt know where to look. they are in hardware on the screw aisle and will say self-tapping or metal to metal or wood to metal screws

    Self Tapping screws FTW

I really think this would be easiest, cheapest, and fastest option.

The most secure way is machine screws and the backing nut the OEM lip uses. You can get them from the Suby Parts counter. Just drill out a hole and the screw will tighten to the backing nut that slides over the lip of the bumper cover.

    OEM FTW!

yes sir.. i finally decided to get my lazy ass up and do it... i was worried about drilling into the car, but next thing you know i was laughing like a maniac drilling hehe...

now that i got a drill, i`m gonna go get the sti rear diffuser :naughty:

o and from the butt dyno, the lip seems to be doing something upto about 60 mph, and then it feels the same as the old.. i guess the material is not hard enough to withstand the wind. but o well, i`m just glad that it's still on there haha.

it's really quite simple.. i just dont wanna be liable for drilling holes into someone's car.. i knew for a fact i wasnt going to get a lip kit any time soon, so i just went ahead and did it.
