Very cool. It only takes a few seconds and a gasket to swap topmounts. I don't see why they would have a problem unless you did it on a day when there were tons of people lined up out the door waiting. I look forward to seeing the end results!! Personally I plan on going FMIC eventually anyway, so it is just a temporary piece for my car.
Yeah I would love to go FMIC but to really do it right it is about $1200-$1500 and my tranny has to come first
I will give you one good reason why this will not happen: Time is money and they are in business to make it. I cannot see any advantage for them doing such a test.
exactly. I want to see, with and w/out tuning, back to back runs while hot swapping the ebay TMIC and stock STi TMIC. It would be nice to have a TXS hyperflow to do as well...but, atleast we could see where the ebay TMIC and STi TMIC stands.
Well not shit! But if the dyno isnt in use its not making money anyhow. If wrxcoupe is going to go back for tuning and paying for the tune, then hot swaping TMIC's (so long as the dyno is scheduled for use and wrxcoupe does not goes over his scheduled time) isnt going to hurt anyone, but help everyone in determining the real deal on STi TMIC vs ebay TMIC.
Yeah I would pay for the dyno time especially if I am going to throw on more stuff. If they could throw in the labor of swapping the TMIC's I would be game!
It is very easy! And to answer the question...if they prove that it makes more power more people might indeed purchase their products and thus make them more money. It's all about how you market things...companies show proven dyno numbers all the time to encourage sales!!
Emmm had to stand behind the "blue line" during my last tune, might be breaken' the rules.....................
Excellent point that I was attempting to say. That and you dont want to drop anything into the pit of doom. Let SS be responsible for that. I'm sure that if you offer to buy him lunch he might be convinced to hot swap the ICs...:wavey:
