I've been on this forum for a while now and I'm finally getting around to starting a journal on the progress/direction on my car. Everyone buys their Suby for different reasons; a beast of a daily commuter, autox, rally or just for the hell of it. I on the other hand bought my Subie for drag racing. I was attracted to the traction of AWD and power capabilities of the boxer engine. The fact that its different for all the other 4cyl cars was the biggest seller for me. Well, thats the direction I'm taking my car. Any advise y'all could give me to help me achieve my goals would be great.

I bought it in April of 2007 w/39000 miles.

this may be a dumb question but is that a roof scoop or window in the door behind you.. kinda looks like both?

love the ride, cant wait to see the finished product

Well, well well... I FINALLY got an AP and I have an appointment @ Topspeed next wed the 29th for a protune. I probably have the most extensive break-in ever! lol 22,325 miles. After buying a house the STI was put on the back burner for a while. I am sooooo exited to have some boost again. Its been a year. I will post the results of the tune as soon as i get them. Until then!.....

Yeah :unamused: I should be purchasing a turbo within a couple months. This will just get me by for now

It will be interesting to see what it does with stock turbo. I would defer to the TopSpeed guys for turbo recommendations.

    Looks like a great project.

My bugi has been reduced to a bug after seeing that. That engine is pure sex! I'm sure the TS crew will get you to 500 and then some with a turbo set up!

thanks guys. im REALLY interested what #'s ill get too.. i tried the stage 2 map and it was a joke. i was running lean at idle and overboosting like crazy, i quickly removed it. I noticed that there is very little lag and LOT's of torque though. even with only 5psi. BTW, i ran the 1/4 while in the 5psi break-in (it had over 18k miles so it was safe) and got a 1.8 60ft and a 13.2 @ 105 with 10.0:1 afr's. I was impressed.

Ok, just got home from Topspeed. I have to say, Doug did an amazing job on my sti and my buddys evo. I ended up putting down 310hp and 357tq and the evo put down 365hp and 353tq. The car feels GREAT and pulls nice and smooth. So glad to have the boost back....the turbo is not just for decoration anymore :)

Ok, today I put in the Coolingmist meth kit. I made a custom mount below my radio for the controller and indicator led's. I only need a couple more things installed before the turbo goes on.

The green led lets me know when I'm low on meth and the 3 red leds light up when meth is flowing through the nozzle.

Im planning on removing the stock fuel rails and injectors tomorrow or monday. Do you have to take off the intake manifold to get all the hard fuel lines out? Im pretty sure ill have to but thought I'd ask anyway.

Looking to get the Aeromotive fuel rails/ Fpr and stainless lines installed before next weekend

i was debating on changing my fuel rails and lines too, but at my level not needed. All of us need to get together and grab a beer or two one of these days.

I mapped out my fuel setup and I'm heading tomorrow to get the lines and fittings. Here are a couple pics of what I'm running. I also picked up a second Walbro 255. Anyone have a link or advise on how to piggyback a second fuel pump?
