So I drove a friend of mine's car the other day. He's on here (redmanhart). He's got an 07 WRX wagon with a vf39, FMIC, TXS RFL BOV, and an invidia turboback. Its fast as tits and it isn't even protuned yet. But thats besides the point. I really want to pick up the same blow off valve he's using, or at least a hybrid / 50/50 setup. It sounds ridiculously mean. His car runs fine with it from what i could tell, and it sounds awesome. What I want to know from you guys: Is anyone on here running a straight Vent-to-atmosphere or a 50/50 BOV? If you are have you had any real problems with it? I know this has been beaten to death, but I get such different answers about it from everyone I talk to. Now that I've finally driven a car with one that had ZERO issues with stumbling or power loss I want to know if randall is just lucky. Just curious...please don't flame me. Thank you.
i dont have any problems as it is mostly adjusted to 100% recirculate or 20% at times I have a worx adjustable BOV that can very from 100% vent to 100% recirculate with 20% increments and it happens to be for sale
Honestly, a lot of times you can't tell that it's making things worse until you put the stock one back on and see how much of a difference there is. Just a thought.
I have a Forge 100% Atmospheric BOV. Been on the car pretty much for 3 years now. Never had a problem. I do however have a catless system, and have been tuned with the BOV on the car.

you saying the bov was causing the flame...? anywho.. i have the forged and i am waiting to be tuned... if you aren't tuned you get a funny rpm drop when you push the clutch in... you can look real dumb at times cause it will make the car die at times... everything i have heard is if you do get tuned.. btw.. i love the sound!
Cost/Benefit? How much will a BOV cost you to buy and install? What are you really getting for your money with your current setup? I think it is kind of rice. But then again I drive an obnoxious yellow car. Bottom line, can you think of something better to spend your money on? If not, I say go for it.

Greg's got the RFL and has no problems. He also had a bov on his car when he was tuned though. I had problems with my HKS and gave it to him and he had no problems. When i put the stock on back on my car felt x10 better even though I didnt think I had any real problems with a bov.
lol, I just modded an extra stocker I had lying around lol. It was kinda laggy but didnt stutter at all. I didnt drive on it long or push it too hard but I could definitely notice the difference from the recirculating to atmosphere. It did make a nice little "Wooooosh" sound though. And I bet that 08 is gonna look good on screen in the Fast and Furious movie, the pic is just from the wrong angle lol

" LOL i know on evos unless you go blowthru set up or any other EMS set you can go full vta w/o side effects but dunno much about subs. dudu just go VTA and find out. at least you'll sound quick as hell. and shoot flames cuz yer car runs rich when it blows off. l

I think balls are faster than tits... no homo well actually depends on the circumference of the breasts in question. If they are big and jiggly than there motion will be greater than said pair of balls just my .02
