Took the plunge to stage 2.

    Grimmspeed uppipe, Cobb catted downpipe.

    And the car is ALOT faster. I'm afraid to floor it. Which is great.

    But I'm concerned about the lag, and was told it might be a boost leak.
    In first gear I see max boost (16 psi) at around 3.5k.
    I also hear a loud whistling noise as the turbo is spooling (loudest right around 0psi)
    So I need to find a place to get that checked out.

    Anyway, I don't know how normal this stuff is.

    Well the automatic is going to be ~500rpm laggier than the 5spd, you cant help that. I'd think your torque would be higher and earlier, especially with the artificial load the TC puts on the motor at low revs.

    Really? Maybe it's not that odd then.

    Honestly I don't know.

    Open source protune btw.

    Ah, not entirely sure, mine peaks at 19 by 4000ish....

    Peak tq at 5000 rpm seems a bit off...but then again, not much exp with the 4eat

    I did away with the whistling sound when i upgraded to an aps bov. But the sound came up when i changed my tmic to an fmic.
