I'm glad it finally came out. It would have stunk to have to leave a brand new GT35R in there! I'll snap some picts on monday.
Haha, I hope they don't try and use the brake pedal to stop the car when they're rolling it around. I was more than happy to pull your pads for swapping those pretty black brembos
they'll be fine. it's scheduled to be picked up. The only think I didn't get was the front sways. We ran out of time.
sorry man...we were sooooo busy at work today....working. I'll get some pics snapped tomorrow for you.
hmm 6800 isn't bad for tranny brakes wheels and interior (minus seats). Someone buy it and give me the steering wheel.
I don't have the time to deal with it. Essentially I'd have to cut them a check. The question is how much will I get back. Sure it's fun and all. I just don't have the time.
Interesting... I'm up for that. Variables that I need you to help define. 1. fee 2. market price estimates broken down by part 3. time frame - how long would will it take to move it out lets talk
ok people david and i need to know how much (if any) interest there is in the remaining parts. here's what i can think of off the top of my head: Blown sti LONGBLOCK (definitely bent valves, probly bad pistons) '07 STi transmission w/ axles, driveshaft, rear diff, and DCCD controller gold front brembos and rotors (swapped by JEB) limited rear brembos and rotors 5x114 hubs (will probly need some sort of replacement to keep this thing rolling) stock limited BBS's with tires (not sure type) w/~70% tread IIRC limited door cards (black instead of blue) sti control arms whiteline 27mm(??) Front Sway bar sti factory rear sway bar sti axle back. UGM doors UGM trunk w/ limited wing and all badging the following are parts that are already claimed but could be sold if needed: dash gauges steering wheel wiring harness/ECU seats (leather are already gone) i'm sure there are other misc. parts i'm forgetting or stuff you guys may need in particular. we need to know ASAP by tomorrow. otherwise it will get auctioned off or CRUSHED!!!! please post up guys. also those more informed than I, if someone would please post what the average prices are for these so that david can be assured he will get his monies back.
corrections: rears are gold too wheels are enkei stock limiteds with re01r (i have a fifth one as a spare) I have an extra limited door card for driverside rear door. whiteline fsb are the biggest available 33mm? they're adjustable too. sti sway bar available too leather seats may be still available if buy back happens i need to at least break even if the buy back is going to happen!
I honestly dont think you will get back the $6500 investment with a blown motor and an already picked at car. If it was complete with full STi interior and brakes, you could probably make some money. That being said, I would be interested in the gold Brembo's if they are in good shape. How are th heads on the motor?
SOG said the valves were bent it would need new valves and a new shortblock according to them, IIRC. but you can only have those items if he buys the car back
I have thirty minutes to decide. Slowwrx may buy if he comes up with $. Dunno if he'd share parts. Whoever else is interested call me asap
If you can find a buyer for the tranny this thing should be profitable. You will need to cover around $2000 more right. I'll take the red hazard button and maybe the door cards if the price is right.
biggis - the stockers right? I'm about to make the call guys. Sorry it not going to work out. If someone desperately and definitely wants to buy the entire thing they could cancel the tow order Monday morn.
bah well, thought i was gonna get me a "rally" set of wheels. :ddirty: i appreciate the thought though.

Looks like #65 is BACK FROM THE DEAD IN PORTLAND OREGON !!!! http://www.silverlineautomotive.com/detail-2007-subaru-impreza_wrx_sti-limited-4007169.html JF1GD77637L500531
I'd like to see pictures of it. I have the #65/800 tag. I'd be amazed if they could duplicate that! 2pt5rs has the leather seats so they must have sourced it from somewhere else. Jason swapped his gold brembos for the stock black ones. Siegel has the vf43
I often play back the events of that fateful day. We were only going 30mph and everything happened in slow motion. I do believe if it was RWD it would have been different. When all four broke traction, the rpm shot up and it was like we were on ice for those few sconds. If it was rwd, there would have been some steering response. We were just spinning on ice until the impact. I wasn't driving but I saw it all happen. I saw him fight with the wheel but all the steering input didn't do anything. With RWD, you'd add some gas to correct, in this case, adding gas simply perpetuated the spin. The spin was at consistent rate until impact. hnoes:
stock hubs and brakes. while we were scavenging the wreck gold brembos went it instead of black ones thats all
