So on the way home tonight from a gig I came across what appeared to be a recently killed....something.....strewn across I-75. It was really gross. There were just like little mounds of guts across all four lanes. Anyway...despite my best evasive efforts I ran over one of the more sizeable ones. While there was no damage (at least that I can see....I need to crawl under tomorrow and look to be sure), a lot of the right side of my car seems to be covered in guts...the tires, the wheels, and the sideskirts...probably some of the underbody. It was dark when I came home but man....I felt so bad for whatever it was that was in so many pieces. Its also pretty freaking gross. Someone must have been hauling balls to have done that kind of damage to a deer or whatever it was... Tomorrow's car wash is not going to be any fun. Whatsoever. :unamused:
Nice cover story for the pedestrian that you hit and killed tonight. :squint: or you at least hope you killed...hit and runner
On I-75? Nice try. I'd like to know what it was. There was enough for me to think it could have been like fricking bear.
Next time, don't try any evasive maneuvers. A lot of people wreck their cars trying to avoid small fuzzy animals in the street. Just run them down and feel bad about it after. Glad you are not another one of those stories about wrecking last night trying to avoid something in the street.
Has anyone heard from Alex? I called him like 20 times last night and his phone just went straight to voicemail each time...like it had been dropped or hit by an 08' WRX or something??!?
Alex is at SEMA. Last time I was in Vegas, I could not get any cell service in any indoor location except for at Balleys. It was also difficult to get cell service on the outside on the main strip. All the large casinos do an excellent job of blocking cell service. It is much more difficult to blow the families wad if the wife can easily call you on your cell when you are betting big at the Blackjack tables.
wow crazy..glad you are ok...That happened to me on 316 about a week or two ago before riverside exit...I see blood all over..a car on the side of the road and a mangled body and in the other lane another piece of the mangled body...I'd say either dog or deer....quite a site to say the least
lol, yeah. I think it took me a second to realize what had just happened. And then I was like :unamused:
And while I appreciate the advice...I'm talking about these "objects" were about 18 inches high....and I was pretty much the only car on that stretch of road....so I swerved a little trying to avoid serious damage and possibly an accident. I managed to hit one of the smaller ones and because it was...pliable....my car, ass, and alignment are all intact. If its a squirrel on a two lane road I usually just wince and hope he makes it between my wheels...lol
