So I'm about ready to get a tune, and I'm thinking about maybe jumping up to a little bigger turbo while I'm at it. Nothing crazy or needing excessive changes. Stock location. Probably stick with the STi TMIC, but to the point where it's maxed out. I'd consider a better TMIC or FMIC if it would make a massive upgrade.

Can some of you guys pitch in with what your favorite step up from a VF39 is?

hmm, isnt 20g the smallest upgrade you should do from a 39?

superzilla 55 if you plan to stay stock location

if I could do it over it would be a SSAutocrhome FMIC with a used UR GT30R kit

Or even a T3/T40E rotated :) Does UR make a kit that works with the Foresters?

anything larger than a VF34/39 requires injectors and fuel pump.

What additional expenses are there to an FP green other than pump and injectors?

Anyone have other suggestions or have gone this route and not been happy?

It's looking to be a smaller compressor wheeled 20g, not sure on the brand yet... 800cc injectors and a WB255. I've seen that a lot of people have problems with FP's customer service. A green isn't out of question yet, but a 20g seems to be pushing it for a stock 5spd.

there's rebuilding a stock turbo with bigger wheels, and then 16g's and 18g's in different combinations of wheels. But a common swap is the 18g/20g because they can be used with STi TMICs and stock internals. Anything bigger requires mega money.

Get at least a 20G....You should just get mine so I can get a bigger turbo. Then next year, you can pass on the savings to someone else and get a bigger turbo.

is yours an 05 or 06? I've just about decided to get a 05 20g from blouch or deadbolt, so...

I'm not a big HP guy, so that would be more than enough. I've been happy with vf39 power for almost three years now.
