Okay, so I've been trying to think of different ways and places that we can use/go to get more of our awesome members out. Is there a specific day of the week that works out better for others? Tuesday always seemed to be the best option.

Also, please give me some suggestions as to where y'all would like to go. I'm thinking new places might attract new faces. :D

I know the 3 Alpharetta/Cumming people want something up in Alpharetta, so we gotta look into that area. Maybe we can do OTB up there instead of Kennesaw this time....

Just about any input is greatly appreciated!

    /serious mode

    1. dreamland bbq. (there are 2 options there, roswell and peachtree corners)
    2. sushi (can get $$, but I'm working on something else as far as this goes)
    3. Taco Mac. We had some decent turn outs for these.
    4.

    keep 'em coming!

No Thursdays is all I care about.

I guess we need to come up with the next few places again, huh?

I would be happy to make it out, but Kennesaw and Alpharetta mean a 50-60(+) mile round trip for me. Downtown Decatur, Buckhead, Midtown, or anywhere 400 and east on the Perimeter would probably draw alot more of the Gwinnett Folks, while not causing the Marietta, Alpharetta peeps more than a 15-20 mile drive...

How about Italian something or other? I could see about working out a small cafe where I know the owner.

I agree:) There is absolutely no way I can make it to Kennesaw or Alpharetta during the week.

Thanks for the feedback Scott. I'll look into that. There are some decent places in Decatur that we could look into. most of the places are rather small and cramped, so I dunno where we could go...

I think Fellini's works well because of it's location. I'd try to find more places around that area (which I know is tough to find). Also, I love Taco Mac, but the one at Perimeter is just too crowded.

What about Blue Moon Pizza at Windy Hill? Not as far as Kennesaw, great food, and it should have enough space and alcohol to meet our needs.

2pt5rs is trying to expand the meet to more members who don't get the chance to regularly attend, due partly to the distance that has to be traveled.

If anyone has any specific suggestions (restaurant/locationwise) that would be the best.

    Thanks

The Perimeter area might work well since 285 and 400 intersect there.

since I am one of the 3 Alpharetta people; Perimeter area would work for me...tons of places to eat and park. North Point Mall area would be awesome.

mmm all those belgium beers at the brick store calling my name... "come to me"....mmmm

you can either park on the street or across the street at parking decks. I'm sure there is enough room for everybody if someone goes early and gets a table, you do have a point regarding room though

In payroll and accounting (and car meet) terms....

    semi-weekly means twice per week
    bi-weekly is every two weeks
semi-monthly is twice per month (such as getting paid on the 15th and 30th)

Unfortunately, bi-weekly and bi-monthly have dual meaning in general terms. Bi-monthly wouldn't work for this meet though because as anything that is every two weeks, two months out of each year, the event will occur three times.

Kuroshio has pretty good rolls. most sushi is horribly overpriced anyway (fad food and all)

besides, it's all frozen (mandated by the gov't) so parasites are never really a concern

    1. I'm a noob.
    2. I vote for Decatur, since there is no way I want to drive to Alpharetta or Marietta.

    I have a possibility:

El Tesoro is a really good Mexican place right next door to Twains, been open less than a year, but very good food they have like 5 different salsas all made fresh daily and pretty inexpensive- in a cool old converted farmhouse with 12' ceilings. My wife and I eat there pretty regularly and have NEVER had a bad meal.

Hmmm. Twain's is not bad and they were brewing their own beer last time I checked and it was decent and CHEAP-$3 pints I think?

P.S. How many people generally show up for these G@G's? I know one of the servers real well and could probably get them to reserve an entire room of the house for us.

OR eat at El Tesoro and then go shoot some pool at Twain's.

Would really like to meet some other Legacy owners (the peculiar lot that the we are).

anywwhere from 10-35 people show up. So the place would have to be able to accomodate that. I personally am down for anything. Willing to try anything once.

I'd like to try the Mexican place, even though we eat on the border regularly, hopefully they have some attractive latin waitresses
