At&T lays off 12,000 people

Yeah, my dad works for them ... along with my brother so i am hunting for some details.

 

damn, that sucks. Didn't hear about this

 

One of my clients works for a company (EDS I think) that contracts with AT&T; he says they are down to 40% of the workforce they had in January. The worst part is that his whole company will lose the contract in a few months to IBM, so even the few left won't have a job for long.

 

well, damn.

 

Half the people I work with right now are victims of AT&T layoffs that happened 3 years ago... Bad times..

 

I heard about this earlier yesterday. Does 420 (Jason) still work for AT&T?.

I do, and I have heard of this, but not in detail. All I know is my job is secure.

 

Yeha, my dad and my brother got the secure emails.

 

Good to hear guys, If anyone has an open position for someone that knows everything I'm available.
