Took the car in for Alignment. I have Tein Camber Plates front and back. Guy said the caster is non adjustable was at +3.25degree upfront (what's stock on bugeyes?)...goal was +7. Then had problems with rear plates? He loosed all the allen bolts and no movement?? I am taking the car back in today, please chime in if you know something.
where did you take your car? I'd recommend taking it somewhere that often works on cars with aftermarket suspension ie Gran Turismo. I'm unfamilar with the tein plates; the cusco plates I had on the STi had to be machined and flipped to achieve massive amounts of caster.
yea....took it to a friend who does has a good alignment machine at NTB, he knew what he was doing, but not much. I was in a rush and he was only option at that moment. I am running -2.5camber in the back...i want it down to 2.0. My toe is good, and caster is 3.25. What is the stock caster on Bugeyes? I though stock caster was 5.something?
also, check your ride heights. If you have that much camber in the rear, I would guess that your car is slammed, and probably rides like shit. The geometry gets fucked up on these cars if you lower it too much. As for the caster, only WJM can get 7 degrees of caster We tried running a high caster setup, and didn't like it on our car. I think we got up to 5-6 or so with flipped plates and offset bushings.
those were recommended by WJM himself. Mostly street driving, once a month mtn runs, and track. U mean 2.0 for the rear? At the moment i am stuck with 2.5 all around, and gonna be tracking the car at santa run tomorrow. Something to worry about and need to get fixed asap?
car is lowered, but not slammed to the ground. Doesn't really ride like shit, but i am sure not as good as it is suppose to ride with the suspension setup.
