What type of bulb did you put in? What brand? Sounds to me like it is not firing. My understanding is that the hid bulbs need a brief spike in voltage to ignite them. Sounds like either it is not getting the voltage or, like old florescent tubes, the bulb is just starting to have issues and not igniting every time. Maybe Alex can step in. He is quite knowledgeable on these things.

if you bought a cheap ebay kit, chances are you either A: wont find a balllast to match it, or B: the balllast will cost more than you paid for the kit originally

you can buy cheap individual ballasts on ebay for like $20

    they don't have to match

Make sure the connections are tight again. I'm betting the ballast is going out. Oh and do your eyes a favor and take out those 6000K bulbs!

ya thats what i came to the conclusion of today, right after work im putting the stock 4300's back in and see if that fixes the problem. the 6000k have been in for about 6 months

Hope it works! It could just be a cheapo bulb issue. If not then I would look at the ballast. I bet Alex would have one that you can test with to isolate the problem.

why would you take the 4300s out for 6ks? the ricer bulbs have less light output

i put them in because the 4300k's didnt look very bright. then i adjusted them with the 6000k and have just been too lazy

It is an optical illusion, I can assure you of that.

Your bulb is probably not bad. Your super duper Chinese ballast probably is ;) Oh, and please PM me only on one forum (not iwsti as well).
