ok so i had an 03 base lancer that i had pretty much turned into a fwd evo. 16g, custom mani, batlground tune.. all and all had about 8grand into it.. well it was my baby untill some f0ckers decided to randomly spray paint all over it, throw bricks and it and slash all the seats.... insurance ended up totaling it out.. sooo finally found a good deal on an '04 silver wrx and ended up getting it. only got to drive it home one night and its been in the shop since... lol. may be a long shot, but im tryin to find out who owned it before me, cuz i can tell there was some work done to it before and was returned to stock. so would just like to know all what was done, because there have been so many problem with it so far :p. -first the mirror controls just decided to work when they feel like it -the head lights (that are wired for hids) rarly work -the mechanic had to fix a leak in the manifold (that kinda tells me that something stock had just been put back on before the trade in) -the gas tank had to be replaced because it was coroading.... -and it looks like the front bumper was cut for a front mount as well. well lucky the dealer has fixed everything for free im not complaining cuz i got it for 11 with 63k on it. i bought it from classic subaru in atlanta. they said the guy who owned before had originaly bought the car from them and just traded it back in about 90 days ago for an '08 sti. think they said he just graduated from Tech as well. annnyway just seeing if he may be on the forums. would be nice to see all what was done to it before hand and just know the maintenance records and stuff. oh and does any 04-05 sti owner want to trade silver hood skoops?? :wiggle:

Yeah, sounds like Chang's old car. He had HIDs, a front mount, an 18G. Not sure about the mirror controls. Parted it all back to stock. He babied that car from what I can remember, and short of a couple of Talladega track days hardly ever raced it.

that surely sounds like my car. I'm glad that the dealer fixed everything before they sell it to you. Classic does stand up for their customers. I just wish that I waited little longer for trade in. Cuz I missed out 0% finance and BIG discount from the sticker price as well.

oh well, it's alll good. I love my STI as much as my WRX. I babied it most of times and went beyond the factory's recommended maintenance intervals.

Enjoy your ride! I hope you like it better than evo!!

ha yeah, they are a pretty stand up dealer. but the salesmen dont know jack shit... lol.

and yeah i already like it 110% better than my old car. as of now its got a little less power as far as how it feels, but the awd and not having a shitty mitsu interior make up for it :p
