Painting intercooler

    Since the 08 did not come with the fancy STi logo in red on the intercooler I decided to take care of it...
    Here you go... Please click photos for a larger view :)

    this is the logo I used...Printed it in landscape.

    Awesome, I've been thinking of doing this on my car as well. Maybe i'll paint it silver to match my car...

    Im not sure silver will show as well. I like how you can see the STi peeking throught the scoop. Shoot me a pm if you need some help!

    Looks good, what's the next mod? :naughty:

    unless the fins have a crack in them the paint shouldn't get in the intercooler.

    I used Krylon exterior paint because I am not at all worried about heat...

    Paint will not get into the intercooler just on the outside.

    Looks great! I want to black out my FMIC but it'll never last. It'll get sandblasted in no time.
