friggin sweet! I thought of doing this myself a while back. flat colors show body lines especially well. this should look sic when its done
interesting, I would do a Satin Black instead of a true flat black to distinguish it from car paint from primer, should look good. General Idea, sorry I just felt like whoring tonight, drop me a PM if you think it is too much clutter, thanks. This one is pretty cool, I believe the hood, roof and wing is shiny where rest of the body is a flat color. EVOs look great flat black, more of a satin black actually here is a flat blue
i love flat black, very shark-ish i already miss prodrive and i don't even have a car to put their stuff on to
lucky for me i have some of their exhaust stuff!!!! cant wait to see the car man, hope its done by friday!
BRCEWANE lol...that is awesome Flat black looks awesome..friend of mine has a 90's 3series flat black...looks mean!
Holy massive balls! That's cool, but what a decisive thing to do to a car! Can't wait to see it! I wish I could post pictures of the new AMG Black I did some photoshop work on... But sadly they are still classified and I'll get sued... And they changed a bunch so they'd know EXACTLY where they came from because I have the only photos of this prototype...
very nice! I want to do this to the coupe...what is the color code of the paint? Any other info whats needed, DIY writeup?
I will do a write up when i finish it.. Its a rattle can job for the books.. If you take your time with it and do all the prep it will come out looking like a professional job. I have so many dings in my passenger door from careless people im trying to fill so its taking a bit longer.. I will keep everyone up to date on the progress
Really? I saw one the other day up at Gran Turismo? He was one of the wide receivers for the Falcons. Still had dealer plates on it. It sounded like crap but looked freaking bad ass!
looks great man that is one hell of a rattle can job. get that how to up soon I am doing that to the coupe for sure.
How so? there just the stock ones.. Im planning on putting a chargespeed body kit on it soon anyways.
what brand paint did you use? Any temp rating? I know in the summer that black can reach temps upwards of 140 degrees.
Its just krylon flat black. I used some automotive paint first but it wasnt laying down right. It was like all spotted and blotchy looking. This is the only pait that I could get to lay down decently..
I've used this product with great success. If you want a true flat job, this will do it for you. http://www.tcpglobal.com/kustomshop/ksflatz.aspx
I cant wait to see the write up! Are you using spray paint? Are you using a flat clear coat? I really want to do this too. I have heard you can clean it with Pledge. Please keep us updated.
ya its flat black krylon in a rattle can.. I havent found any clear coat yet so I will prob do that in a few weeks..
looks good, i saw this on nasioc. are you trying to have it done by the photoshoot this friday? i'd love to see it
ya im going to go to the photoshoot... I will prob have it all done but the trunk.. But the trunk is JBP so it doesnt look that bad. im going to try to have all done tho..
