figured instead of clogging up the photo thread might start this for people to chat about events that happened last night and to igure out who was who with what cars...
thought it was pretty sweet to roll from the back of the pack and just pass subie after subie... it was one hell of a line!
It was more fun than worthwhile from a photo stand point. Chang and I are going to plan something. Midnight Blue WRX. North Carolina Tags. ID yourself! I have photos for you.
^that's me! I had a great time, I can't imagine what it all looked like from a passerby's perspective. soo many sick rides at once
Your car is badass.... See this thread... Working on the others! http://www.wrxatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23226
^thanks man! great shots I'm excited to see the rest of them. did you get any still shots at the varsity?
thats a good shot jake... and kjg8erz8..sorry met you but forgot your name lol, your car is uber clean...
It was good meeting everyone, and some very good shots there. I wish i would had my mask on when u took that pic lol. The GTO is Collin (on IA).
Well um, yeah.......lots of fun wasting gas, lol! After the initial meet at the V all he broke loose. Getting on the highway after getting caught at a stop light meant lots of people playing catch up. The after meet fun at gas station and Atl Station was cool. We need to go on the city outskirts down 85-S or 20-E, lol.
anyone know whats done to that car... he said bolt on and tune but some buddies said that car is suppose to be really nasty.... and i agree on doing another shoot but maybe in the day and alot less people
For a first time event like this and the shots posted so far it was worth it. Granted my beaten and battered bug eyed wagon is far from being photogenic, I'm sure there are those who felt the GTR's stole the show. Not going to lie, I was a little envious of their rides as well. I think with better planning, posting routes, splitting groups up to hit different points of interest, and a meeting point before and after would settle all the problems we had. Most of the people didn't know the area around the airport, which is confusing to begin with, added to the fact of trying to get that many cars together for one shot is nearly impossible.
Yeah I know, if I had a new fuel pump in my Justy DL then all my fellow Subie owners would be all over it. Terry and Robert would be so jealous they would want to trade.
The circle at Fernbank would be a good place. There's a China Air 747-400 that takes off around midnight or maybe lands, can't remember. If we time it just right at the parking deck, that would be a cool shot as for background.
I must say, hanging out of Adam's Acura passenger window at 75mph with my camera in my hands and an R34 rolling next to us was a life-affirming experience as a car nut.
Ok, here's what I was able to glean from the sea of useless photos I ended up with. I have a lot to learn: http://www.flickr.com/photos/clickclickwhir/sets/72157613251560860/ Sample:
Thank you, Sonny. I've been digging through the ones from last thursday and I have some shots of your car that I'm really happy with. You too, KJ. I hope you guys like them too. Should have them posted by the end of the week. They just require some special attention.
Thanks, that's really the only one I took that I like compositionally, and the owners did all the work for me
