This car was built for Time Attack so I kept the boost to a max peak of 27psi with a small tapper to 26psi by redline for his high boost limit. I am very impressed with this setup for making so much power at such a "low boost". Had this car been built for drag racing I wouldn't even flinch at turning it up to 30+ psi. Even still on 23psi this car was over 540whp, which is what I would expect him to run except for the timed sessions where he can run the high boost map.

Oh yeah and this is in a lighter GC8 Chassis.

Its a full Cosworth Stroker motor with a Custom GT35r using a Tial .63ar hotside. It would have spooled faster but on this car the AVCS is not enabled so the spool and tq is a bit down. I would expect to see a 500-600rpm faster spool once th AVCS is working which would just be crazy.

I am continually amazed by these Tial Housings, time and time again they have shown to be proven winners.

Runs were made on Q16 race gas 27psi peak, tappering to 26psi at 7k with an 11.8 afr.

    Mods:

    GT35r with .63ar tial hotside

    1200cc injectors
    Custom Fuel rails
    Aeromotive FPR
    Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump

Can you give any specs on the Cosworth Stroker? Is it one of their crate setups, or did you guys tweak it?

That is the fastest Subaru I have ever been in on the street (I only drove Lucy on track)... 1st is useless at WOT, it spins all 4 at the top of 2nd and keeps them spinning when you blip the throttle (no clutch on the dog-box) and snap 3rd. It's FANTASTIC. And that was only at 23 psi of boost.

I've advised Bart that if he runs that at full boost on the cheap street tires he's got on there now, he'll die ;)

Head/cam work? I'm guessing Cosworth heads and cams?

Sick numbers, I wonder if that car/driver will give Lucy a run for her money.

Yep, the Cossie heads and cams.

It outweighs Lucy by over 400 lbs, can't quite fit the rubber we run, and doesn't have quite the level of aero we do, but none of those items are really that hard to fix, and it's still probably one of the fastest cars around...

Made 491 @ 19psi... I am sure it could have broke 500 on pump but this car will never run on pump anyway.

Considering the motor and tranny alone cost 26k its going to be alot. There are cheaper ways to get this power, but if you wanted the exact same setup I would say you need a car plus 35k.

Hey, $40K for a car that will smoke just about anything on the street is a great deal. Think of all the fun you could have picking on Z06's and Porsches.

That thing is a beast! If he's taking it out for a run you've got to make a post about it - I want to see it in action! :)

what kind of chassis upgrades would be a good idea to safely handle this power? Say for mostly drag racing?

For drag racing, nothing... it's just going straight... maybe bushings to help with deflection on the launch...

For road racing - EVERYTHING and big sticky slicks :D
