first off, for this to happen i am gonna need to find someone or someplace thats rents out the fender roller. we can do this at my house as long as it doesnt get too big (i'd say no more than 5 cars) but i would like to get together to do this on march 8th. geuss it all depends on how quick we find a fender roller. i need to do mine asap. all i would ask is, if you want your fenders rolled you would chip in on the rental fee for the fender roller, and you would have to do it yourself. from what i heard they're like $50 to rent. there might be a few people there with experience but i cant promise that. sooooooo if you want in on this or have fender rolling experience and want to help out, pm me and i will shoot you my address. just so everyone knows i live in lawrenceville
plus this That's all you need to roll fenders . IIRC somebody on the board might have a fender roller. Most people i know just used a baseball bat.
just trying to do it the right way first. i already got a heat gun. if it comes down to it, i am not scared to use a baseball bat
I need to roll my fenders as well I have used baseball bats in the past but nit on my subie. I think you can rent a fender roller from Tirerack. Let me know if this is going down and I am in.
I did a few cars at an install day about a year ago, I will be happy to help out, and that date should work out for me, I am usually not doing anything on Sundays.
its for sure going down, just trying to get my hands on the roller, there's a guy on craigslist renting one in fairburn, but it might be hard for me to get out that way to pick it up. thanks man, should be an interesting day sick!! will you be getting rolled or helping? anyone have any other ideas on how to get a fender roller. someone in gwinnett has to have one
i don't have fender rolling skills, but i can help to my best. I'll be getting fenders rolled. How are we working this tho, all pitching in for the fender roller? Moose is on EvoAltanta now, he might be coming to Speed & Mischief. I can ask him to bring it along.
yeah, i figured everyone that's wanting to use the tool would just throw in on it together. try to rent that one from moose, and let me know how much it's gonna cost
any body still wanting to do this, shoot me a pm for my address.......i need to get a roll call going, remember its for this sunday, figured we'd start around 9-10 in the morning so we don't spend all day doing this
going to pick up the fender roller tonight........so far its only me and josh booth, anyone else coming, pm me
my car isn't driveable for next 2 weeks or more, so won't be able to come there . How much will it be per head?
45 bucks split between however many want to use the tool......feel free to still come by and lend a hand if you want
Forgive me but its been awhile since I've been here... what the hell does a rolled fender look like compared to stock??
soooooooo the day went alright. we started on my front left fender. had a few cracks in it(we assumed not enough heat) but my right front fender ended up flawless. the backs i actually ended up grinding off the lip and slightly pulling the fender with a combination of a hammer and the fender roller. i am so-so pleased......at least one of my best friends owns a paint shop so fixing the first fender isnt a big deal. and thanks for the help josh.......even tho you pussed out on your fenders j/k(i think him seeing my frist one chip kinda scared him lol) and i love your car buddy! aggressive ftw!
Any time bro I had a good time and it's nice to meet new subie guys. I am glad the fenders turned out the way you wanted them too. Call me or shoot me a pm when your wheels come in I cant wait to see it.... Oh yeah aggressive FTW!
