What up everyone? Im looking into replacing my spark plugs sometime this week and was wondering how long i should be looking at it taking so i can work it into my plans. Its best to go from the top correct instead of trying to get them from under the motor. Im an experienced technician, but just wondering how long it should take? Thanks for the info.

What plugs are people recommending these days? I also need to swap out my plugs and up to this point I have been using OEM. I was debating moving to one step colder (#IKH22 as they are already gapped for the STi).

haven't had a problem with my platinum plugs. would probably use copper for a higher HP build though

Coppers all the way. Iridiums are nice but not easily gapped.

I just did mine last night and compression tested the car. Took 2 hours total while drinking Firefly :)

sure. that's why I said coppers for anything else where you need to run a different gap.

and iridium != platinum. iridiums are way too expensive for little to no gain IMO (more mileage maybe)

I was under the impression that coppers should be changed yearly and iridium or plat changed at slightly longer frequency?

^^^Just in case someone that has no clue that part number is for 2.5L Turbo's only. The 2.0L WRX 02-05 equivalent is BKR7E ;)

maybe...just entertaining the idea. I'll have everything off in the next few weeks, so it may be easier to change them then, assuming it's worth it.
