Hey everyone, My name is Michael Berenis and I drive a 2002 subaru impreza wrx. It's not pretty up close, it goes off road and has "badges of honor". LOL Some might even say it's tacky or ugly, but if you appreciate rally I think you'll appreciate my car. It has the following 68 modifications. 3gSucks ECU Street Tune @ 19.5 psi stock Td04 TGV Delete & PNP Phenolic Spacers PNP Throttle Body PNP Intercooler Elbows PNP Intercooler Exhaust Port PNP Exhaust Manifold PNP Cross-Over Pipe PNP Up-Pipe PNP Turbo Exhaust Inlet PNP Turbo Outlet PNP Turbo Inlet Hose & Turbo Inlet PNP Inlet/Maf Hose Connection Port MAF Tube Exit Godspeed Lateral Links Megan H-Brace Generic Rear Strut Tower Brace Header Heat Wrap Cross Pipe Heat Wrap Up Pipe Heat Wrap Down Pipe Heat Wrap Custom Turbo Shield w/ chimney port Perrin Up-Pipe Perrin Down-pipe Perrin Manual Boost Controller Perrin Front Sway Bar Perrin Front Sway Bar Endlinks Perrin Rear Sway Bar Perrin Rear Sway Bar Mount Perrin Rear Sway Bar Endlinks Perrin Shifter Perrin MAF Hose Perrin TB Hose Perrin TMIC Y-Tubes Silicon Turbo Inlet Hose K&N Filter Element Freedom Design Front Tower Brace STI TMIC TMIC SPRAY Primitive Racing Front Skid Plate Primitive Racing Rear Differential Skid Plate Oversized Sumotumo tires (spelling??) Thank you for the warm welcome, I look forward to meeting everyone
Very cool car. It is not often you see one that is used for what it was originally designed for! Welcome to the forums.
welcome! I'm interested in taking a joy off-roading ride. I wouldn't put my car through it but i'll enjoy your car.
ANY Suby that goes off road is better than ANY Suby that doesn't. And I can say that because mine doesn't. I want an old Justy just for off roading... but I want a lot of things... So...
You should check into Forester struts for a little added ground clearance if you're serious about offroading. Welcome to the site!
I've off-roaded mine before and would jump at the opportunity to go again. Let me know the next time you go and I will join you. Welcome.
Wow thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Sorry i didn't post a reply sooner, I've been kind of busy. Our 01 pt cruiser needs a new water pump and belts. No fun. 3gsucks is a tuner in Tampa, FL that specializes in street tuning subaru's. He's also a USF student of mechanical engineering. He knows what he's doing, lol I had plenty of questions during our tune. He tunes safely for power off road, I get really low rpm torque, almost instant spool, etc. My car really came to life once I got a 3gsucks off road tune. 3gsucks: Best street tuner The car is a really enjoyable machine off road. It sticks to the sand enough to plant you in the seat. I've done some really fun things with it. I jumped some rail x's with my wife on the way to school the other day, that was enjoyable. She seemed to like it too. I did the little flick of the steering just as suspension releases to make it land right. Jumping the asphalt is something I did after perfecting it in the soft sand. If you don't time your flick perfect, you can cause some serious damage to the suspension, alignment, driveline, etc. Sand is the way to go. The sand we got down here is like playbox sand too. It's pretty fun to climb the sand hills as well, the skid plates make sand shoot out like a waverunner does water lol. I have some videos on my streetfire account too everyone might enjoy. http://members.streetfire.net/profile/subaru-offroad.htm There's also something like 300 photos of my wrx there too. I like to photo document everything I do with my car, so when it's all said and done I can look back on it and review. It really helps out, photo documentation is a good thing. You can spot wear and tear much easier by doing this.
Sorry everyone, but I won't be back. Too many trolls. (Sorry to all those that are nice, I wish we could have communicated more) I have a strict NO TROLL policy. I want to relax and enjoy my time on a forum, not be mocked and spoken to in a rude manner. Funny thing is that your forum troll openly says "I AM A TROLL" lol. Funny at least, but regardless I'm not coming back. Sorry, nice meeting the few of you. That's really too bad too, I was going to promote this forum for free too through out my articles. Oh wellz, it's always one rotten apple that ruins the basket right?
