Just as the title say.. I'm just getting into autocross and wanted to see who all on here does solo atlanta.
I'll be at all of them since I'm pulling the region trailer and apparently somebody made me the Solo Chair this year. www.soloatlanta.com Should be fun!
Although I am not the chair, I am the best looking guy at Solo, so I will be there. Just to clarify I am not particularly good looking it's just everyone else is particularly ugly that does autocross.
We can have the beauty contest later...:keke: I was there for every points event last year and hope to do the same this year!
I'll be there. I should be in a turbo Miata most fo the time but on occasion i'm sure I'll be in my 08 R32!!
Hoping to make at least a few events this year. Especially the really hot ones in July at Six Flags
gay...weather looks uber-crappy this weekend. I'm not looking forward to working in 35deg rain / snow :unamused: Besides that, I bought the lady friend a Sunday ticket to 2-driver my car and I'm guessing she won't go...to here 75 degrees is cold, throw in rain and...well, looks like I'm out $40. Leads to two questions for those who may know...does the event get postponed in snow / rain / sleet? and can someone else fill in her place if she should bail? I've already paid for the spot and don't want to see it go to waste...
Ill pay you 40 bucks to drive your car but you have to take off that god forsaken lip spoiler....fucking limiteds
i'm gonna sit this one out...i'm a sissy :wtc: can't wait to see the pictures and hear the stories though
I would t0o, had I not already signed up. When I checked the weather on Monday the Sunday forecast was 59 deg w/ 10% chance of rain. Now it's utter shit... Had I not already dropped the $80, I would not be attending. Hopefully the majority of people will back out and it'll be a lighter more dedicated crowd...and hopefully they won't hit any damn cones (not likely) so the workers can take it easy by the bonfire I'm going to be constructing in the middle of the course.
I think they will still run even in a downpour. We did last season. Don't know about snow/sleet though. I think it would be fun!
Robert, you going Saturday, Sunday or both? I'll be there on the Neovas, sliding my ass all over the place :fawk:
I am going on Sunday, I need to get my oil changed, but the rain is preventing me from doing it. Hopefully I can get it changed.
Tomorrow's cancelled - thanks Mere I wasn't looking forward to loosing money, so thanks for the postponement. See all you guys at the make-up date
I was looking forward to racing, but the event will be much better in warmer weather. Hopefully everyone can make the rescheduled date, which has not been announced yet.
More rain! Frankly driving in the rain makes you a better driver. You have smoother inputs and the water exagerates any chasis flaws.
rain is my friend. i gives me a chance in hell to pull a top 10. maybe but yeah, i'm totally in. the rain at the test and tune was fun as hell! AWD Drift action baby, gotta love it!
I never have autocrossed, I think it would be a lot of fun to get into if the closest group was not a 2 hour drive, either way I think I am going to crash one this year just to hang out and watch.
From weather.gov: Saturday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a low around 47. Sunday: Partly cloudy, with a high near 63. Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 41.
 It's in your blood...I can picture you now twittling your thumbs w/ a smirk across your face in anticipation
Nice pics! Wish I could have made it out Ah cool, graduating this semester BS CS @ GT - thank God it's almost over...
I'm looking to make it out to a couple of events this year to test out the STi. I had done a few events a few years bak with my EVO (yes, I have now come to the darkside). Hope to see some more Scoobies out there!
