Ok, so this morning I woke up late. Rushed out the door started the car and started to pull out of my apartment complex (not haulin ass) and went over a speed bump that I normally scrap on a little, then all of a sudden my exhaust sound changed. I pulled over and opened my door and rev'ed the motor a little and it straight up sounds like I am Ken Block running dumps. I looked the best I could and didnt have any section of the exhaust hanging down or visual holes. I am a little worried that my header might be cracked. If its my cat-back I honestly wouldnt care so much I can fix that with a weld or wrap. Does anyone have access to a lift or even if you have some jacks. I am lowered so it makes it a little difficult. I wanted to stick it up in the air either today or tomorrow hopefully just to make sure its not anything major.
I bet you just have a hole in your exhaust. Mine broke a hanger and took a section of pipe with the hanger. It sounded really loud and you could tell that it was coming fromthe middle part of the car and not the header. If it was your header, you would probably have a loss of power.
Ok, so I found out its the flex pipe right behind my collector (almost perfectly in the middle of the car). How difficult is it to repair or replace that? Never had to do it.
nvm im dumb you figured it out haha, not to sure about costs. is it the flex pipe? or a flex part on the mid pipe
If it the actual flex pipe? If so, it can be pretty expensive to replace. If it just requires some welding, I would say no more than $35 at any good muffler shop.
