FEEL THE HEAT MAY 8th & 9th Formula DRIFT heats up for the Round 2 at the site of the first ever Formula DRIFT event back in 2004. Road Atlanta opened in 1970 and was home of the inaugural Formula DRIFT event back in 2004. The 2.54-mile, 12-turn track is owned by Panoz Motorsports and hosts many events throughout the year including Formula DRIFT. Utilizing Turns 9, 10A, and 10B of the road course, cars slide sideways through the turns and then hit the loop before the Suzuki bridge and back towards Turns 10B, 10A, and then ends dramatically by drifting uphill on an incline. Round 2: Feel the Heat will leave up to its name in more ways than one with temperatures reaching the high 80's and drivers aggressively chasing each other looking to be crowned the next Formula DRIFT Champion. Round 2 will not fail to disappoint. Known for its incline drifting and loop many drivers have been put to the test. Samuel Hubinette by far won in both 2004 and 2005, with Tanner Foust receiving his first win in 2006, and Tires.com Triple Crown Champion Chris Forsberg taking home the victory last year in 2007. Who will win this year? Statistics have shown that by winning this event a championship is in the future. Find out on May 9-10! I plan on going -- Last year was a lot of fun. My pic of the running group last year: Alex requested a video of the WRX that was there: (cropped from above image, I never got close to it) Video Links - All you can hear is that goddamned cowbell...wonder who that was... Solo Run - Check out the guy with the wife beater sunburn  Matt I'm sure you looked the same Duel Run Have tons of caravan pics and probably 100 videos from last year. We going to caravan from Discover Mills again?

I am a little slow on the thread. Are any of ya'll meeting up for a caravan ride into the show on Saturday? I know Chemsoldier27 missing doing that now since he does not have his WRX anymore.
Yes, we will do out normal caravan from the Bass Pro Shop at Discovery Mills. Details will be posted in a couple of days or so. Looking forward to seeing all the hardcore off road rock crawlers and lifted trucks at the Bass Pro Shop like every other year.
Ill be there but it is unknown currently if I will be there as crew or spectator. If I'm not working then Ill come meet up with you guys.

that doesnt mean he can't still roll with us! He'll just have to hang in the back.....like 2 miles back.
we need a long line of impreza's,WRX's,STI's,and RS's entering the Facility. But about the address I dont know if I have that much room on 3/4 of an acre.
Stop being jewish, we've had g2g's on a one lot house I am definitely down for this! This time Im not shooting so I'll be able to have fun at the tent (even though I spent most of my time there last year drinking anyways)
I would have to know how many cars would be showing up but I might be able to get my neibor to let us use his field in front of his house. I will ask tomorrow.
gonna have to pass guys, although last year was a blast. I have a special weekend planned for the wife that takes excellent care of my boys.
