I plan on leaving work a little early and get there right as the gates open. It doesn't really get packed until 8 so you can get 4 or 5 runs in without having to wait too long. After that it usually turns into a traffic jam in staging as some car that never should have passed tech dumps oil all down the track. Who's in?
Mike, if I am back from Toronto, I would love to meet you up there when the gates open. I could only stay for a few passes though.
Yea 6 and 6 30 is good times for me...all be going... Probably end up embarrassing myself...but all good! :bigthumb:
http://atlantadragway.com/apcm/temp...cleid=34414&zoneid=38&navsource=2009 Schedule I don't see anything on test and tune night for that date just for taping of PASS TIME. I tried to call and make sure this was a open night or if it's just going to be a bunch of people trying to get their POS on TV. Have you confirmed the date?
^^ lol.. Later in May would be a lot better for me.. Starting the 2nd week, I'll have Fri-Sun. off and could go any Friday.
might want to get a spindle first. I can see it now, Subaru wheel posts a time of 11.2 in the quarter, the car posts 11.50. Who wins the bet?
Alright, Found out that the track is suppose to be opened @ noon to start test and tune on the 1st. The guys from Pass Time expect alot of cars and expect alot of POS's to break and slow the track event down, so, If your planning to attend, I will keep in contact with my guy @ the track to find out if anything else has changed. I believe he said it will be $25.00 not 20 to run that day.
Ok, my source @ Commerce is still telling me that it will open it's gates @ noon for the test and tune. Hopefully the rain will hold out.
Good luck guys. Rick and Mike.........be like me and LAUNCH THE CRAP OUT THE CAR! Bounce off the rev limiter 2-3 times before the 1/2 shift.....get the speed up so ya don't bog
I will probably roll out around 10-11. I am planning to meet Mike at his work and go from there. Mike still waiting on your work addy so I can map it. coolrex - I promise I wont let her go under 6500rpm. Actually what tire pressure would you recommend AND how do you have your spiider controller set?
I will probly just meet you guys @ the gates. Did anyone get race gas or are you picking up some there?
Not sure if I can make it guys. My Spindle has gotten worse and the last thing I need to do is a few hard launches on it. Im picking another one up this evening though, if I get it on in time with no issues I'll be there
If your looking for race fuel, get off on exit 147 (1st Commerce exit) on I-85. At the top of the off ramp, the Citco across the street has 110 on pump for $8.00 per gallon!I think they have 2 filling points, both have RED handles.
Rick max out the recommended pressure on your tires. You want them to spin....otherwise it'll grab and bog.
Wish I had the day off! I will be in athens working tomorrow though maybe I'll swing by and watch LOL
Just so you know. The gas stations that have leaded gas at the pump will only let you fill a can. You can not pump it directly in the car.
their site says gates open at 10am test and tune @ noon. Does that mean they will tech cars starting at 10?
Well it looks like I'll be doing another wheel bearing, sandblasting, ceramic coating, powder-coating, prep and painting a sedan conversion on Friday and Rick I have your jack and helmet. You said to find something to coat so I grabbed them. And yes they will be the custom bass boat metal flake pink that you requested. Hope to have your stuff done and back to you before I head to Mid-Ohio on the 15th
