I gave approximate install prices by PM... The standard "Stage 3" doesn't include an inlet because it was originally "written" for lower mileage cars. With higher mileage the likelihood of the inlet being so degraded it can't be properly reinstalled is quite high. Leaks between MAF and Turbo are bad ;)

Sometime is better to save up your money and do everything at once. What college do you go to?

Just take your time, I started out with exhaust and stage two, next thing you know a year later I'm fully swapped with 2.5L and 6 speed. It becomes addicting once you start seeing performance gains (or break shit)

You already have the ap2. And if you got left over money, buy a decent exhaust, dp and up and be set. Later on go with bigger turbo. Don't take my advice tho, i got all my parts at once and ready to install. :)

that's what I did...my build goes together this weekend. I went stage two about a year ago and just now got all the pieces for my rotated kit. 400+/400+ here I come :ddirty:

I agree with Meredith.....learn to drive what you have.....then start your mods. Youll be able to appreciate every chnge you make that way. Check out the Atlanta autocross scene, it's a great inexpensive way to learn alot about your car and your driving ability. Events almost every month.

Otherwise do a turbo back exhaust and intake and a good tune by Top Speed and you will be shocked what a difference it will make.

    Have Fun!!

Ive been driving the wrx for a pretty long time now. and i started modding not too long ago....yea i mean so far i have the turbo back exhaust and the sway bars and cobb accessport, im thinking about protune but i think i wanna add some other things...small time mods and then go get a protune...since it is a bit pricey.

Infrequent attendance can be inexpensive, but tires, brakes, and other worn out parts from track time no doubt add up quickly.

Not saying its a bad idea (not by any stretch), just a warning to the OP. ;)

And I'm with Siegel on the fact that if the car has 123k you should just go with an STI shortblock or something before you REALLY mod.

Making your stock brakes awesome is fairly cheap, and VERY satifsing. It also goes with the 'tighting the nut behind the wheel' mod as well. For road and autox motorsports type stuff brakes are going to shave a couple seconds off of times if used correctly even in autox.

If you have F\R Sways already I 2nd whom ever said susp. upgrade.

I dont know much about these here subarus quite yet, I have been around the block a couples with autox stuff when I had my sentra.

he was reffering to me. vf39 is nothing serious. Going rotated is serious moding/going 400hp+ is serious modding in my book.

meh, $200 is out of my price range. I'll just pick up some xmas lights from the attic and run a power inverter.

Just remember any engine/exhaust/intake mod aka "performance mod" will affect your tune in some form or another. It's best to plan out what you want and do it all at once and you won't have to get another tune ;) Some mods may not matter that much as far as the tune but better safe than sorry.

Also you can't get a 'safer' tune for a high mileage car than Siegel ;) Scott is so meticoulous with how 'smooth' your car runs and he will prove it to you. He will show you on his own laptop how straight and smooth he will make your car run. Shoot get him to show you how 'bad' it is when you get there and you will be amazed at the difference in the final result. Siegel FTW!

Thats true...thats why i pretty much decided to wait awhile before i get a pro tune so i dont have to go multiple times.

After finishing everything i have planned ill be going to Topspeed and hopefully everything will turn out good for me just like it seems to have for everyone else that has been through there!!!
