I'll have to get the slip and I didn't remember it. I don't have it....the owner does. However the 1/8th was stupid fast.

    119 is a good trap speed for a 16g...

Yes it is. It's the evo3 16g. It flows the same CFM as my 18g turbo does. They are practically identical.

I am pretty sure he did mention that it is topspeed tuned. I might have to go back and check again though, lol. Nice times. I guess it helps to be able to shift without fear of the transmission grenading too! One day!! Thinking the 07 6 speed like you got though. Better internal design and not shooting for something that would necessitate dog gears.

That is one of the most violent transmissions I've ever driven. You don't use a clutch. Grab the shifter and go to town. I thought I shifted hard and fast until I drove this car. Man my organs hurt when it shifted.

The dogbox is worth half a second its amazing how much time you save when you don't have to clutch it. 96 is smoking

Yeah it's a BLAST to drive down the strip but I wouldn't have that thing for daily.....wonder what my car would do with a dogbox?

I don't think it would be that much of a difference with a 16g. On a turbo setup like a 35r where it can fall out of boost alot easier yeah... I could see it being a half second. But my guess is on a setup like this if you have a driver that can actually drive it may be worth 1-2 tenths at most.

He was clocking 12.2's all day. For some reason he kept bogging the launch a tad until I taught him how to launch it. He rode with me twice and then on his next go he matched my time.

Makes a guy feel good :)

Yeah dog boxes are pretty crazy. Since I learned to drive them on the 18 wheelers, I got pretty good at rev matching and "power shifting" (without clutch) as you pretty much have to be perfect on a big rig or you can really tear stuff up. After a while it just becomes second nature, but when learning it is a pain in the ass!

Yeah learning to play nice with dog gears takes a bit of time. But really in the end it is very similar to just normal shifting, you just have to be a bit more firm with the shifts or you CAN tear it up. It likes to be slammed into gear.
