Things needed for Formula Drift Event

Because last year was such a great event and we had the most people we have every had at this event, i thought I'd post up some things needed to help this event run more smooth..

Basic things needed for event:

1. Bottled Water (ie any brand)
2. Alcoholic Beverages (ie Beer,Wine, etc)
3. Grills (maybe 2 this year)
4. Charcoal (enough for 2 grills/2 bags)
5. Burgers (ie Bubba Burgers/Frozen)
6. Hot Dogs/Brawts (ie any brand)
7. Buns (ie any brand)
8. Coleslaw (ie any brand)
9. Chips (ie any brand)
10. Condiments (ie ketchup/mustard/mayo)
11. Plates (ie paper or plastic)
12. Utensils (ie plastic folks/knifes/spoons)
13. Cups (solo cups if needed)


Major things needed:

1. Tent
2. Extra Chairs



Post up what you will be bringing, and the mods will edit the first post as we get closer to the event....

im not going to be able to make it this year, i have to work that saturday. you guys can borrow my tent if you need it. just make sure it gets back in one peice

 

I will see if I can get my Friend to bring a big grill if its allowed. its a gas grill but we can use charcoal in it.I am pretty sure he will allow us to use it he's coming too.

 

I think that you will be coming down with something that day, maybe a cough or something.......:naughty:

Not sure if a gas grill is such a good idea, i was thinking of more like the little portable charcoal grill, but it might work...

im going but unsure of what im doing yet, havnt decided if im camping up there with some buddies or what. most likely thats the plan and if it is im bringing water. no need to add me to the list tho

 

I posted this in the caravan thread, but Road Atlanta is not allowing camping for this event.

 

My friend said yes to use of the grill , and I will check out the rules on grills to see if they will allow me to bring in a gas grill for charcoal use.

 

My friend said that he dosn't want to use charcoal in a gas grill so I went and bought a charcoal grill to use so that is 1 grill. and the people at road atlanta said grills are only allowed on the driftzone side of the track no grills on the grand stand side, that is what the lady at Road Atlanta said.

The Grill is a larger portable Grill.

If all goes well I should be there ( In Laredo Tx. now) I have a couple of extra chairs. and will bring some brew too! are we in the same area as last year?

 

I am not sure I was wondering that myself. I called road atlanta today and they said that grills are allowed on the infield area close to the horseshoe"Drift Zone" but they said if we use a grill as close to the white fence as possible , on the Grand Stand side, they probably wont say anything.

 

I also have a cooler and I will get some drinks. I have one chair posibly two if I can find the other.

I am also bringing my JVC 1080I HighDef camcorder, tripod and 2 batteries , 12V car battery and car adapter for Camcorder cause I dont think two JVC batteries are going to cut it for two days.

 

i may come later in the afternoon. havnt decided if i want to make the hike just for a few hours yet

I am going to probably end up buying a tent at Walmart for us to use for the day, then return it the next day. Don't know yet for sure, I have been wanted to get a tent anyways, so maybe I will hang onto it after the event, who knows.

 

Zen Motors, And crew will be there. We should be available to help out with rides via golf carts.

We've got enough to share, but not enough for the entire group.

 

I bought a 10' x 10' Easy Up Canopy from Walmart yesterday. Will also buy a small portable grill from the Supermarket as well.

 

I up here at Road Atlanta cant find anybody. where is everybody at?
