OK anybody have a 6 puck sprung clutch that there wife/gf/significant other/mom drive on a regular basis and have no issue with it? I am an Integroid wanna be (LOL) w/ 2005 LGT Wagon 5sp manual I am at 290WHP/320WTQ, but a larger turbo and more TQ is probably inevitable and I need a new clutch very soon (slipping in 5th). The ACT modified street setup (full face) seems to be my best option but is rated at 420TQ crank and I am close to that number already. So, I am looking for max clamping power but not kill the daily drivability. Basically I'm looking for a free lunch. Curious of anyone's impressions of a 6 puck sprung as a daily driver. Honestly, my wife drives stick quite well, but Atlanta traffic being what it is I am concerned about it being a deal breaker. This will most likely be done converting to a 2006 WRX flywheel, as I will ditch the dual mass flywheel in the car now. Anybody have one I can test drive? I live in Tucker area.
I had one and it wasn't that bad. Don't have it anymore as I did decide I didn't want to deal with the chatter anymore and went with the ACT street disc. I don't think your wife would like it though. Good luck.
You would or wouldn't? I wouldn't if your wife is going to drive it. Mine "can" suck sometimes when ltrying to release the clutch fast. Also, Liquidforce was saying he only got about a year out of the 6 Puck discs he has used.
