http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1702099 I'll save you the 500 thread read and paraphrase. These are apparently drop in fitment made for the wrx and 07+ Sti topfeeds. Idle is rock solid and the injectors can be pushed to 100 psi fuel pressure without failing. The only part that is not drop in is that you have to splice in a connector to the injector wiring harness, but in theory T1 Racing will be offering a true plug in injector shortly that will even plug into the wiring harness for Subaru's. Pretty cool stuff as I have used these injectors in other cars and had a lot of success using them. Not exactly "new" news as it is from 2 months ago, but I was not aware they had a plug and play injector now so I thought I would share. Oh and at $460 +shipping they are quite the deal!
Yeah I've been watching those for a while, it is an awesome deal and since they con operate at a higher fuel pressure you can really get them to flow a lot more than 1000cc
I guess they get to around 1525 at 100 psi, but the problem is getting the fuel pump too mate up to that pressure. Some interesting information in the thread. I would suggest anyone interested read up on the thread to make a more educated decision. Sounds like they flow around 900ish at stock fuel pressure, but can go way up from there with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Your standard walbro 255 would not be up to the job too much above stock though.
I've got a dual pump walboro setup which is fine with 1600cc injectors if you are an e85 geek but thats not what I would run with this setup. I'm planning on using these on my next 240 build...3 sets of them 1 set for cruise and idle and the other two for WFO.
:unamused: I told someone about these in an injector thread a week or two ago. they are quite the injector, even if you don't need that much flow
you could, but you would need the tuning to go with them. basically they are oem performance (with regards to dwell and spray pattern) just able to flow much, much, more. their ability to provide fuel at idle RPMs is really nice. you'd need to evaluate your build (lol yeah right Xan get a job son) and see if they are a good match. if it's anything that requires more than what OEM injectors could handle, I wouldn't hesitate to use them.
Better to have the injector for later mods and future upgrades than to not have them. At that price they are about the same price as most of the other injectors on the market. DW injectors are a little cheaper for their smallest injectors, but then you have to get new ones if you want to go bigger later. These apparently idle as good or better than stock injectors with tuning and have the ability to give pretty much all the fuel you could want later if needed.
You could run these with a single walbro, but if you want to start jacking up the fuel pressure there are other pumps that perform better. I am not sure exactly what fuel pressure the dual walbro set up stops being reliable. I know the singles have been reported to be able to handle around 75 total. So if you think boost as well as starting pressure at 25 psi of boost you would be able to run not too much more than stock pressure...think starting+boost= total ending pressure. So 50+25=75. So the single walbro could handle around a 6.5psi increase of base pressure if your target boost is 25 psi. Not sure what duals could handle reliably though.
Duals won't really handle that much more pressure they just allow you to run bigger lines for more flow. The great thing about these 1000cc injectors is you can get them to idle like a stock injector so there is no reason not to step up to them if you are thinking about going big later.
Its all in the first link Mike posted. I haven't used them on a Suby yet but I did play with them on a friends Civic that was having a hard time with getting the car to idle with a AEM.
Have not used them in a Suby yet either, but as Matt said it is in the thread I linked. I plan on testing these out myself eventually, just have other things that take priority first. I can say that they have to be an improvement over modded stockers...but then that is not saying a whole lot, lol.
if you really wanted to use walbros (not sure why) instead of the bosch 044, you could put them in series to raise the pressure. however, your flow will be the same as a single walbro. so to increase the pressure and double the flow, you would need 4 pumps  best bet is to just run a better pump. I like bosch pumps personally, but even then they will have a hard time keeping up at 100# static
Bump...anyone hear anything about these injectors? http://www.advancedfuelinjection.net/Products-Subaru_WRX.html
apparently there are knockoffs floating around. I would just buy them from the guy on nasioc. they are cheap enough anyway
Can there really be such a thing as a knock off on these? They are both using Bosch injectors and just adding the right o-rings so they fit the Subaru rails. The only reason these caught my eye was because they come with a plug and play adaptor....the other guy on nasioc doesnt ahve an adaptor out yet...you have to splice or crimp new ends.
the guys that have been buying from T1 (and I know a lot) for their builds are extremely happy with them. this is from the supplier's website of the injectors and the relevant adapters for subarus http://www.injectordynamics.com/garbage.html for me, in a fuel system, I'd pay a negligible amount more knowing I got it from someone reputable (and the guys at T1 are). I'm not saying anything you posted is a knockoff, I am just leary with something as critical as fuel delivery
From what I have heard if you say pretty please the guys at T1 will ship them with the plug and play adapter. They are only have issues with the adapter working with a couple year Subarus. I would try contacting them and asking them.
My bad...I didn't know there was that much to these injectors. I stand corrected. Thanks for the link!
Just curious if anyone knows...If I get the injectors with just the pig tail connectors, could I solder them to my factory injector harness? Just curious if this would affect the impendence or resistance the ecu sees.
You can solder them very easily, that is what I would do I'm not a fan of adding another plug in the line.
I just ordered the injectors and TGV Deletes. I should have everything next week. My money tree just ran out of money so it might be a couple of weeks before I can come up with the funds to get it installed. Plus I was hoping on having a different turbo so I can just do everything at one time and get it tuned once HINT HINT
JDM Topfeed TGV Deletes are here and the mate up to the LGT Intake Manifold perfectly. Injectors will be here tomorrow. Tony @ T1 said he would give anyone on wrxatlanta free shipping on these injectors if you mention my name.
Injectors are here! I am really impressed at how simple and light these injectors are. Hopefully I can get the top feed setup installed in the next couple of weeks.
Got everything put in today (thanks Andy and Mike). The idle and part throttle response is amazing and I haven't even gotten it tuned yet! No more bucking, stutter, or hesitation from the car. Should have it tuned in the next week or so. I would HIGHLY recommend these injectors!
Sorry Drew...I was going to call you ack in a few. I ordered mine with just the pig tail conenctors and soldered them on the factory harness. I don't ever see me going back to stock so it didn't bother me to cut the factory plugs off. Call me back if you have anymore questions!
