So Joe and I were discussing purchasing a vacuum bleeder for ourselves. We were looking at several today and there are certainly some great ones out there. The bleeder would run through our air setup and really make fluid flushing a snap. Please note that this is not a service that we intend to offer as a company -- we're not a maintenance shop afterall. Instead, this is an idea for a new type of install day that would benefit the community greatly.

Nevertheless, I thought we could throw together a small g2g at the new shop when we got the bleeder. This will be a great opportunity to learn how to change your own brake pads (wrx and sti) as well as learn how to bleed your brake lines.

I was thinking that the whole clinic/day would cost approximately $30.00. The price may break down as follows:

$10.00 to use the new bleeder / bleed your own brakes
$15.00 for 1L of ATE Super Blue or Gold
$5.00 for lunch (burgers, dogs, soda and water)

What do you all think? Any interest?

Maybe we could have an install day the rest of the afternoon. We could even get a couple volunteers to do additional how-to clinics for other common maintenance projects like oil or tranny fluid, belts or even plugs.

    agreed!

You should ask Kingwrex (or maybe he will chime in) what type of auto bleeder he has. Works like a charm and make the job sooo much easier! now I just need to get some SS brake lines before hand...

I'll try to make it out!

that's right, Villa Rica...it will cost me 30 bucks in gas to get there and back. But this way, we can all have a group hug.

Hah. At least there are Deer to look at :) I was washing the car on friday and a deer walked out of the woods and onto the driveway. Naturally, I started spraying it with the hose and he just stood there. Of course, I cannot blame him. It was hot as hell outside.

I may be interested. I actually have a motive power bleeder that I have not used yet. I also have a can of ATE superblue. Would be nice to have someone help me learn how to use it!

Yep! Since there is considerable interest in it, I will try and get some dates together this weekend as well as pre-orders for the fluid, pads, what have you.

Not a problem. Our shop is tiny and will only fit one car at a time. We can always run additional air hoses out of the shop to the driveway if we need to move the bleeder outside. Just be considerate of your time as others will want to bleed their brakes as well.

I have used the mityvac setup and did not like it at all, the other I haven't tried. Jack said all of his guys buy the really nice snap-on one which is 300 bucks, so he doesn't really have anything to compare it to. He said he would check around.

Could I change out my 6 sped fluid there too? Purchasing the fluid from you of course. Been meaning to change my brake fluid/rotors/pads soon too.
