Anyone with a EJ205 out of the car

I need to get a measurement from you if you can do it for me. I need the length of the stock 2.0L oil dipstick tube. I'm NOT talking about the dipstick but the tube it goes in. On the oilpan there is a bung that sticks out that the tube slides into. Can you measure the distance from the top of that bung to the top of the tube? Or if you have the tube off measure the entire thing.

I had to swap to a 2.5L pan when I got the ELH. I then had to get STi dipstick. WJM told me the tubes were the same but I don't think so. I'm filling the car with more than 5 qts of oil it seems (Rotella T only comes in 4 qt containers here and I can't find the single ones anywhere) so I'm guessimating the oil. Even with the measurements on the side of the container it's still a rough guesstimate.

My new killerb oil pan will be here soon so I need to make sure I have the right tube for the dipstick. This may also explain why my oil pressures have always read high.

    Thanks.

I've got one sitting at my house I can measure for you, but I won't be back there until Saturday.

Thanks. Hopefully LiquidForce, Topspeed or Techlord may have one lying around. I also contacted WJM to see if they have one pulled at the dealership.

Between all of those someone should be able to help.

    Again thanks.

To much oil shouldn't make your oil pressure run high

That what I thought. I think my oil pressure gauge sucks. Cold startup is past 100 psi which is normal (my STRi gauge reads max 100 psi). Warm cruising I'm at 95 - 100 psi where most people say they are at 80ish. Idle warm I'm sitting at 45-60 psi.

But regardless I need the tube measurements as I need to know my oil levels :)

WJM measured a stock vs sti one for me. Same length and same part numbers.

CRAP! My car has NEVER dropped more than 1/2 - 3/4 qt of oil after 5000 miles. I think I have 1500 - 2000 miles on this interval and it's not even registering.

Will says he thinks my pistons are finally starting to deform. Says it's a common problem on EJ205's when boosting > 16 psi past 5800-6000 rpms. Plus I have 140K miles on this engine too. Sounds like I'm gonna have to start scrambling to get the EJ257 ready.
