I have been rebuilding my engine and this time I decided to replace every hose and gasket on the engine. When I was taking apart the intake I noticed a hole on the back side of the hose that goes from the manifold to the fpr.

Not raising the fuel pressure with the boost is bad juju and may have caused the failure. Good thing I am replacing everything or I might have missed this.

Not if you don't have a wideband to what it with.

not sure what this means, but I thought mike had one anyway. maybe not

in any event, a fuel pressure gauge is never a bad idea. tapped as close to the rail as possible

I do have a wideband and I never noticed any issues with the afr's but on that day the boost was set a few pounds higher than normal ;)

Maybe it finally gave that day or was only a problem at high boost.

The new fuel rail has a port for a fuel pressure gauge and I have a greddy gauge laying around so I'll go ahead and hook it up.

Well it turns out the txs fuel rails are on back order for an undetermined amount of time so I ended up switching to the new Perrin fuel rails.

All the other little stuff has either shown up or will be here in the next day or two. Hopefully I'll have my car on the road this weekend.

    Good news indeed.

SOG is the bomb. I gave them a parts list that I was sure a few things would have to come from the warehouse but they had it all in stock.

My clutch will be here tommorow and should be good for 600 torque at the wheels ;)

I'm not going to work on Friday so I plan on finishing assembly and dropping it in the car in the morning.

Got ready to weld up some AL parts along with your TGV's and ran out of gas, so will knock that out Thursday after the reel job. If you want to come down to pick them give me a call

It is a custom job from a friend back in my high school days who now works for a well known clutch manufacturer. I'll write a review once I know how it really works.

I was figuring on dropping the engine in without the intake monifold on Friday and maybe heading down on Saturday to pick stuff up from you.

Not yet. I went to reuse one of the timing belt idlers and it didn't seem right. I'm getting all new ones on Monday or Tuesday.

I got the fuel rails on last night. I am waiting on some phelonic spacers and I may have to redo the rear main seal. It is pushed in a little to far and may be partially blocking the return.

The last thing I want to do is blow out the rear main seal after getting it all back together.

They stopped making the TXS rails. Where are you getting them from?

Life is pretty busy right now so I don't have any free time to work on the car.

I still need to get the phelonic spacers before I can put the intake manifold on but other than that its ready to go.

I got my spacers yesterday. Pretty nice. Just make sure you use OEM gaskets on both sides of them.
