    Okay so Texas Pete Hotsauce is having this promotion. You go here: www.kickoffcookoff.com and enter your recipe. If your a finalist, you get to compete, but regardless of whether you win or not, you will get a Free Big Green Egg BBQ. And 2 Bowl Game tickets.

    The actual "winner" of the cook-off gets a lot more.

    I would enter myself, but I'm a designer for the promotion, so I can't. I know we got some decent cooks here though. Sign up ;)

    no in a contest to win a green egg, we have a ceramic smoker like the egg it rocks...need to bring it back from the mtn house.

    for some reason, I loathe BGEs. mostly because of their fucking retarded price

    charcoal is cheap, who cares about efficiency. I can buy lots of fuel for $1000

    As far as I know, yes. they supply the EGG for you to cook in and you take it home for free.

    did you read the part about it being FREE? I think their prices are ridiculous too, but i wouldn't mind having one ;)

    I think you have to use special BGE charcoal of some sort to cook too

    my grandparents own a BGE. it was $$$. they overcook everything on it and it sucks.

    maybe I'll submit something just so I can get one and pawn it

    No, I get the egg at the contest on 09/05. It will be the same egg I am cooking on that day. I am still trying to figure out how I am getting it home though. I don't get tickets to the game that night but get two tickets to the ChickFilA bowl at the end of the season.

    I have to take the one I am actually cooking on home with me. I dont want my wagon to catch on fire trying to get it home:)
