After a full month of searching the perfect car popped up right around the corner from my house.

1966 Porsche 912 polo red with black interior

    I can barely stand it

I'm kind of torn it may be getting a 2.5 and a GT30R type setup.

I dont want to go to crazy.

I'm always wanted one of these cars so I'm really going to take my time with this one

Do the conversion, it will be cheaper than keeping that air cooled alive

    All hail the 356D!

Is it a 5 speed 902 trans or 4 speed? Hope it's a 5 as they have wicked close ratios but kind of Bugeye weak. If it is a 5spd pretty good chance of being an import with a smaller gas tank 16.5 gal if 4 spd then will have USDM 21 gallon tank

I'd like to take a look at it, if it's an unmolested drivetrain it may pay for the swap in itself. Depends on whether it's a later model 923 trans. The 356D's shared the same drivetrain as the 904's and 906's so they tend to be sought after to keep those period correct.

Bring it on, would love to lift it up, do a Paris-Dakar rally replica with big mud flaps. Check out my post in the lounge.
